Mikael and his crew escape and find humanoid signs of life farther away on the planet. He decides that these belong to his son Aaron and his crew and decides to go on a journey with the goal of finding them and seeing what their physical condition is in.

His two females, met in a previous battle, prove to be resourceful and on the same goal path as he is. He is drafted by the Queen under false pretenses, not knowing that this is exactly what happened to Aaron. But, she can help pinpoint the location where his son is at and he gets a ship out of it even if manned by three of the Queen's soldiers.

In the meantime, Aaron has been shot at and down to the planet. He is angry and learns that the Queen who gave him the vessel to accomplish a mission, is behind the whole thing. with the help of Caso, a resourceful little alien, they set forth to find a vessel and arrive at the scrapyard where they are attacked by the Queen's troops. With no vessel and being under siege, the impossible happens. A mysterious vessel appears and fires on the Queen's troops, then lands. Out comes his father and a group of fighters that he has fought with in the past.

However, the Queen hasn't said her last word and sends a fleet to kill all the people inside the scrapyard compound. As they are about to vanquish Mikael, Aaron and the Crews, a mysterious fleet appears and destroys the Queen's armada.

They are the Rebels, fierce opponents of the Queen and offer to recruit the band to pursue the fight against the tyrant. After posing certain conditions, Mikael, would bares the rank of Colonel to Aaron's Captains, assumes command of the two crews at the great satisfaction of Aaron who would rather follow his first love, Flying.

Again, this author uses his gift to take the reader on a virtual adventure where treachery, savageness, civil war and lack of regard for human life are the norm for the civilization inhabiting the new planet where they will reside. I personally find the book a tribute to a great author, a page turner and look forward to read the next book in the series while I rate this book 5 stars and highly recommend it. Manie311 2

Who could have guessed that Caso's scrapyard would become a fierce battle as the Queen's fighters rain down death to the fugitive Earthlings.
Or the strange way these guys would be rescued by rebels led by Ta'cal. Or the subsequent events that will have you wild eyed and gaping at everything that follows.
Firestorm 3: Betrayal is another action packed book by author Daniel Young that introduces some new enterprising characters and a lot more action.
