unfortunately this book falls short due to numerous errors and a lack of development in the storyline. I was left feeling disappointed after reading it. I couldn't understand how the main couple even fell in love when they barely spent any time together. The purpose behind their marriage and the contract itself was unclear and unnecessary, as it didn't contribute to the plot in any meaningful way. The trip to Turks & Caicos was meant to bring about a change in their relationship, but instead, the author chose to have the male lead sleep with another woman while the female lead watched, and then make a move on her afterwards. This did not add any depth to the characters or their relationship. The book felt choppy and lacked a cohesive flow. Instead of focusing on the side characters, Bama and Shay, the author could have used that time to fully develop the main storyline and its characters. WHEW!!! This book started out with the mess and I was here for it. Kairus was UNHINGED and maybe even a lunatic but watching how despite their differences, him and Lexi built such a sweet bond was the highlight for me. Shan they needed to have unalived you for being the grimy mother/wife you were. I mean you were nasty af. Frank, ion even feel sorry for how Shan played you, WHY cause you was a low down dirty dog, why would you do your own brother that. WHEW! Bama watching you and Shay little relationship was too cute and I love how you stood on business when it came to your brother. Listen Lexi I almost didn’t think you and Kairus was gon make it but the way y’all finally bonded and held each other down. It was beautiful to see. I mean you stood on business behind him as he stood when it came to you. The protectiveness was everything. This was truly a good book. Great job Mz Wright!!!!! On to book 2….

Shan and Frank were some dirty suckers! I don't know why they thought they could undermine Karius and he wouldn't do his due diligence! His whole life consisted on taking over! Shan surely underestimated her son and that's really too bad because she got caught up in her own trap! How you gone send another woman to trick your own husband only to find out they fell for each other! That was the move that trickled the domino effect and where she figured she was untouchable after all was said and done, it came back to bite her in the tail! It was really funny with Karius going after Lexi! Dude turned off the water yo looool! Definitely an arrangement beneficial to them both, no one knew that their childhood trauma bonded them together fr life and I loved that for them! Shay and Bama were a case and 10 halves! They really complimented each other in their crazy shenanigans! I d this story. I really d the relationship between Shay and Lexi. People sometimes forget blood don't always make you family. Knowing exactly what happened to Lexi, Nisha still ends up doing snake ish. To start I thought they would never get it together Lexi and Kairus because it's neither wanted to take the time but alone together really worked out for them. The way that things unfold was crazy because just think if the lawyer never contacted them they would still be under they Mama maybe not so much Frank though. Definitely not a bad book. Kept my attention for the most part and yes I’d read another book by this author. Few things that didn’t get this book 5 stars and that’s Kairus name! I could barely pronounce it. His attitude in the beginning was awful. His sleeping with Krissy blew me because he was there with his wife in Turks and Caicos. All they had to do was communicate. That lil part could have been left out. After that, the entire book went downhill because his attitude went from hateful to all in love. I loved Bama and Shay! Baby when I say these people were hilarious I laughed the entire book. Bama was clearly off his rocker Chile because why in the world did you choke that girl out that lmao. I was a little scared for lexi at first because she kept her little smart remarks coming every chance she got I just knew he was gone unalive my girl lol.
