Wow this book was fully of creepy surprises! It was whimsical and scary, I loved that it started off being intense and only gained intensity as I read on. A cast of characters you can relate to and a truly scary villain made this so fun to read!1 txncupcake36 13

This book was won in the Goodreads giveaway. It was about a family who lives among the redwood trees, and the family spot these demons in the woods. Then each member is taunted by the demonic being, and the family destroys their home before fleeing. The plot is disjointed, and one cannot really connect with the characters. This book kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time! It twists and turns throughout the whole story until it finally all comes together at the end. I loved the characters and felt I knew them personally. I can’t wait to read more of Kayandos novels! Joan191 1 follower

Thrillers aren't my favorite genre, but this was poor even for that. The plot didn't always make sense, dialogue and descriptions were very forced, and none of it was believable/creative enough to be scary. T11 36
