I’m convinced that Willow Winters can’t write a bad book! She never ceases to amaze me, honestly! With every book I read, I fall even more in love with her writing, her books and her characters and this new release Kiss Me In This Small Town was no exception.

This book is Renee and Griffin's book. If you have read Tequila Rose Duet (Tequila Rose & Autumn Night Whiskey) then you will have met them both in that duet. However, you DO NOT need to read that duet before this, also it’s an amazing read and I absolutely loved it and highly recommend it!

Griffin owns and runs a bar with his best friend Brody. It’s a pretty popular bar that keeps him pretty busy which is great because he’s an extremely hard worker. Renee is one of his employees and Griffin has feelings for her what’s not about her? She’s smart, beautiful and kind and Renee also has feelings for her. However, things aren’t as simple or easy as being together. Most of the time Renee has the brightest smile on her face, one that can light up a room. She’s a beautiful human being with a beautiful heart, but behind those bright and beautiful eyes lurks pain and darkness that she doesn’t want to drag Griffin down with and will avoid as much as possible. You also add in the fact that it’s a small country town where everyone loves to talk and it doesn’t help that it’s a boss/employee relationship. Is Griffin able to convince Renee that they are meant to be or will Renee keep pushing him away and keeping him at arm's length?

This book was extremely sweet but it was also emotional and even though it wasn’t triggering for me, it may be triggering for others, so please keep that in mind.

All in all, it was a fantastic read that was unputdownable! Full of emotion, angst, steam, heartfelt moments and a beautiful happily ever after.

Highly recommend reading it!

Willow Winters may be known for the darker and spicier read but she still knows how to write small town romances!!

Renee works at Griffin's bar (well, Griffin & Brody's bar - Brody from Tequila Rose, another top read!)

We get a whole lot of stolen glances, want and hope from these two. They're just two people who deserve to find their other halves and you can't help but cheer for them.

It's a heartwarming read with some angst - thoroughly enjoyed it!

Kiss Me in this Small Town is a standalone novel written by the one and only Willow Winters, on of my must-read and absolute favourite authors. This is a smaller-than-average novel, making it perfect for a quick yet romantic, small-town read to devour in one sitting or over the weekend.

This is a little something different than what most might think when they first see the name 'Willow Winters'. Usually known for her hot romance novels full of steam, spice, smut and everything else, this is a change in a different direction. This lands on the side of contemporary romance with a hint of the former, but without it being the central element. Here a story is being told of forbidden romance, workplace romance and the simplicity of love in a small town.

As a reader who is up for anything--who especially loves forbidden/workplace romances--, I was down for this the second I saw its promo sign-up. Spice is nice, but now and then it's nice to step back from the heat and consume something savoury, sweet.

Life in a small town has its pitfalls. One of them? Town talk. Gossip. Whispers over whisky and loose lips on all other kinds of liquor. Especially at a bar. A bar which Renee is bartender and waitress for her boss and owner of said bar, Griffin. Everyone knows she is head-over-heels for him. A man whom until he came to town, she had no idea was even her type at all. Charmed by his smile and piercing gaze, she was a goner from day one with her heart enslaved to him and him alone.

As time went on, more glances were exchanged, blushes brought out on cheeks, budding building tension all became to much to ignore when one night, a look became a touch, which became late nights alone after work. What could possibly happen?

When the owner of the bar you work for--specifically under his direction--asks you to kiss him? As a dutiful employee it's your job to go above and beyond and Renee did just that. In fact, she did a whole lot more.

Sometimes love hits so fast, it's a bolt of lightening. Shocking, startling and impressive all at the same time. Things between Renee and Griffen happen as fast as said bolt, and neither can stop what has been building between them. Renee knows deep down in her soul that she shouldn't have fallen for him, as there is so much that he doesn't know about her and her personal life. The very reason above all else, that she knows is the single thing keeping her from being with him long-term.

No matter how much we want things in life, be they big or small, sometimes they're just not meant to be. Renee's secrets are just too hard to let go of. Or are they?

Willow should be proud of her efforts with this book. It defines the small-town romance genre with all that we know and love about it. I consumed it over two days and genuinely wished that it wouldn't end. There was so much to know about Renee and Griffin, where their story would take them and how they would journey to their happily ever after. My only wish, is that I would've d to have seen a few things physically on the page, rather than hear about them in abstract. For example, rather than hearing about an engagement or marriage or any event that has happened in a recap, I'd to have physically read those scenes. Just my preference as a reader.

That said, I'm far from disappointed and I'm over-the-moon happy with what Willow has put into this story with Renee and Griffin. Definitely a couple that deserves more book time on the page! Hopefully we'll see them again at some point in the future, perhaps as side characters in another wonderful Willow Winters small town romance.

Get ready to swoon! Renee works at the bar owned by Griffin. They get into a “pretend relationship” for a bit but it isn’t what he really wants…or her really. They both have crushed on each other for a whole but didn’t want to ruin their professional relationship by dating. Can Griffin convince Renee that they would be better together for real? A sweet, small town romance set in the tequila sunrise world. Griffin is a true cinnamon roll hero! These two just make you smile. There is also an emotional side through that blends seamlessly within this romance. We also get to see previous characters as they are both friends with Griffin and Renee. This can be read as a stand alone but if you love a small town, feel good romance check out the rest of this series. Kiss me in this small town is an enthralling small town romance. This was my first time reading this author and this book captured my attention from the beginning.

This story follows Renee and Griffin, he is her boss, and her fake boyfriend at the beginning of this story. They harbour genuine feelings for each other which is painstakingly obvious but they don’t want to ruin their professional relationship.

I found their story absolutely adorable and really easy to read. Once I picked this book up, I could not put it down.

If you are a fan of swoon-worthy small town romances, and a sweet romance, I would highly recommend this one.1 Julie Workman-Bookaholic Sisters Blog854 19

I absolutely love small town romances, they make me all warm and fuzzy and this one was no different. From the stolen glances to the gentle touches it made my heart swoon
Renee and Griffin's story was sweet and steamy and I could not get enough, as my emotions rose to the surface I could not look away. It was beautiful and an absolute must read.1 Bethany72

Renee and Griffin - I absolutely love these characters. The tension and spice, absolutely loved it. Also really enjoyed how well it tied in with the Tequila Rose duet (no spoilers, you need to read them). Can't wait to read whats next for this book world, should she continue to keep writing in it ??ebooks-completed1 Michele Del Rey2,021 25

I fell in love with the cover and fell even more in love with the characters and chemistry. I loved everything about this book.1 Alicia1,529 10

With a sweet couple at its heart, Kiss Me in this Small Town is a heartwarming tale of love that has to struggle to find its way into the light of day. Griffin and Renee have a strong attraction to each other, but for personal, family reasons, Renee is resisting the pull to Griffin. My heart went out to her as she struggled to find some stability in her life while supporting a loved one in her time of need.
Griffin has such a wonderful family. They are all, and Brody and Mags, loving and caring, and I was looking forward to Renee finding her way into a situation that reflected her own caring, warm character.
This has been a lovely read with a well-earned HEA.
