On Christmas Eve, Nick, a student film director, uses his fake ID and an Old Fashioned cocktail to impress Sarah, an aspiring screenwriter working at a swanky LA bar. He drops the hockey-jock persona to win her over, but fails to reveal his true identity before they are pulled apart.

What starts as a holiday crush grows into friendship then passion over a year's worth of holidays as Sarah and Nick learn what it takes to craft a true love story on and off the screen.
