Intriguing & Interesting Addition to Jellyfish Beach

I enjoy Parker’s way with language and how he makes sure we see & feel the Human in all his characters, human or not. There’s always something I can relate to in my life. I love following the adventures of our intrepid monster hunter/beginning witch, her reporter friend, brave and true companion, her, -for-real, crazy, sociopath of a mother… all of Ward Parker’s wonderful and hilarious imagination shows in this book, all of these books. I read this book all in one go, as I do every book, because they are so much fun and yet still make me stop and think- and not just about when the monk will appear and which of her panties he will be wearing either! This book has Missy dealing with two bossy types, a loup-garou and an ancient vampire, who both want to take over their respective communities, each in its own style. Missy is tasked by the Friends of Cryptids with capturing the loup-garou, and is asked by a former patient in Squid Towers to help them keep the vampire from taking over there.

Are her magic and her and Matt's investigative skills strong enough for the first task? Are the residents in Squid Towers able to keep their independent ways?

Another exciting adventure for Missy and Matt. This latest assignment from the Friends of Cryptids Society is the most dangerous Missy has ever been asked to do. A Loup-Garou is a werewolf so huge and powerful, other “regular” werewolves are terrified of him. This episode has several twists all throughout which made for interesting reading. To help Missy with her assignment, Angela shows her how to do stronger spells. She is still learning but was able to use her new skills. Meanwhile her evil mother has decided to have all the werewolves join her coven. Poor Missy’s time is running out it’s either join the coven or die. Another hit out of the ballpark Mr. Parker! In this book it has Missy and Matt, taking on not only werewolves but a Loup-garous. Plus, Missy's deadline to join her birth mother's Black Magic Coven is coming up very soon. Missy has such a crazy life, especially being an agent for the Cryptids Society. That puts her in all kinds of danger and she is still learning how to use her magic. Her friend and fellow agent, Angela, is teaching her how to use her magic but it is slow going. I love this series and this book was laugh-out-loud funny! I seriously recommend it!
