Series Review:

The Galentine’s Groupies series involves a group of friends that were obsessed with a band, Soul Obsession, when they were around teenaged. Years later and the band is together again for a farewell tour. Thanks to one of the girls who happened to become the tour manager, the girls all get to attend some of the concerts.

Each book is an insta-love quick read with a happily ever after for one of the friends and someone related to the tour. I would gladly buy this as a compilation book or a boxed set. It was great how they intertwined with each other seamlessly.

Book Review:

This is the first book in the Galentine’s Groupies series. This book centered around Chasity from the friend group and one of the band’s bodyguards, Xander. The chemistry between these two was amazing. Chastity also has a stalker and they have followed her to the concert. Thankfully, Xander is there to help her solve the mystery. Mi humilde opinión:

Burning for the Bodyguard es un romance con atracción instantánea, un policía retirado, ahora guardaespaldas de la banda y una admiradora con curvas.

Chastity y Xander eran personajes agradables. Lo que me chocó un poco fue la falta de confianza de la heroína. Por momentos parecía una mujer que no le importa su peso y come lo que quiere, por otro lado sus pensamientos internos decían lo contrario. El héroe no confiaba en las mujeres y con razón. Su prometida lo abandonó y lo engaño por dos años con otros hombres. Fue como muy rápido que confiara en una mujer que apenas conoce.

El romance es instantáneo así que, a pesar de que todo sucede rápido, se sintió que conectaron en su primera cita. Me gustó sobretodo que encontraran esa persona especial que los entienda y acepten como son. Puedo decir que fue un insta decente con dulzura y steamy.

Ahora... No entendí cómo la heroína tuvo un acosador por dos años y ninguna de sus viejas amigas , ni Dani su mejor amiga, supieron que luchaba con eso. Cómo se quedó sin hacer nada al respecto? Cuando meten de repente un villano de este tipo en las historias para darle una vuelta de rosca puede funcionar pero aquí para mí no. No tuve miedo de que algo le sucediera a la heroína. Es como insertado de la nada y cuando se revela quien es el acosador yo no me sorprendí. Fue muy predecible. Quizás si se hubiera desarrollado más el suspense de una mejor forma...

Siendo una serie sobre una boy Band famosa que vuelve a juntarse para una gira me hubiera gustado un poquitín más de show. Veremos cómo sigue la serie.contemp-ficción-erotico Thisbe419 7

*spoilers* Chastity is a teacher for kids with additional needs and very dedicated to the joy, no soulmate is sight. Shs is also a die hard fan of the boygroup called ‚Soul‘s obsession’. That is how she met seven other girls. The boygroup split up 10 years ago, but they still hope for good news and then the reunion tour is announced. Chastity really needs the break, realizing she needs a break and lost some part of herself, having a stalker for about two years. She is a woman with curves and also she tries to be confident, she has often been put down by it. When Xander, the head of security for band sees her, he is immediately drawn to the beautiful Chastity. Due to the behavior of his ex fiancèe, he has stayed away from woman for a long time, but somehow he knows Chastity is different. They get close, which her stalker does not . Also is it lust or more and how can they make it work?
I rread the story at once, could not put it down. I marvel Violet Rae’s writing style and how she creates characters. Also this is not a full length novel it has the special something and depth to the characters for me. This story is full of love, between lovers and friends, some drama and sizzling hot.

I’m totally reading this series out of order but it doesn’t seem to matter, as I’m still enjoying it very much. Each novella is written by a different author and features a different couple but revolves around the same group of characters, and timeline.
Each one is an “insta-love” or, at least “insta-attention”, romance and tells an entire story in a shorter read.
All I have to say is, bodyguard.
Bodyguard romances are hot. Period.
Something about a big, tough dude protecting people, especially the woman who’s got him head over heels, just does it for me.
Though Xander is the head of security for the band, Soul Obsession, he pretty much looks out for everyone involved in the tour. That includes friends of Shelby, the tour manager.
When Chastity comes to visit Shelby and see the band, she unknowingly brings a mysterious stalker with her.
Que the big, bad bodyguard. He takes one look at her “copper curls” and “soft curves”, and he’s a goner.

Chastity dava aula para crianças com necessidades especiais e há dois anos tinha um stalker, que estava ficando cada vez mais invasivo. Por causa disso, ela mantinha-se isolada, vivia numa rotina do trabalho para casa, mas ao saber da reunião da Boy Band que ela era fã na adolescência, aproveitou a chance para viver um pouco, ainda mais porque ela conhecia a organizadora da turnê e havia ganhado passes vips para 4 shows. Lá, acabou conhecendo Xander, o chefe da segurança do grupo e a atração entre eles foi imediata. Mas com um maníaco na sua cola, sua viagem não seria tão tranquila quanto ela imaginava.

Chasity is a teacher for special needs kids and when her favorite band reunites for a reunion concert, she goes with her friends to see them. Xander is security for the band and when he sees Chasity he is drawn to her. Both Xander and Chastity have reason for not wanting to get involved but something just has them ignoring everything but each other. Just as they are getting close Xander learns that she has a stalker, and he wants to help protect her from the unknown person. As they work together on keeping her safe they grow closer and soon neither wants to leave the other. Will they admit to how they feel? Can they get her stalker?

This is an amazing story that will hook you in the first chapter. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

I loved this book! Chastity is a teacher for students with additional needs. While she loves her job, she needs a break from her life. She’s had some eventful times already. When she hears that the band Soul Obsession is planning a reunion, she wants to get together with her old friends for the concert.
Xander is a bodyguard for Soul Obsession but when he sees Chastity, he is a goner. Chastity is a bigger girl so she finds it hard to believe that Xander would be interested in her. Xander, too, has a past to be weary of. Not that anything can stop them from being together as their feelings grow.
I love how this author does such a wonderful job of showing love in its truest form.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This was a fun story to kick off the multi author Galentine's Groupies series. Chastity and Xander are two opposite personalities that fit well together. He's the head of security for the Soul Obsession tour.
Xander had no idea he would find his soulmate when he checked out the list of back stage visitors from Shelby. Chastity is one of her friends joining them on tour. She finds it hard to believe he would fall for her, but nothing is going to prevent him from claiming her. I d how well they completed each other and the way they interacted. Burning for the Bodyguard is a hot and sweet protector romance. A chance meeting, instant chemistry, an unexpected villain, and smoking steamy scenes—this novella has it all. The female lead is a sweet, kind, down to earth person who deserves every happiness. The male lead is a brooding and hurt ex-cop who swore off relationships, yet is by turns vulnerable, open, direct, and intense. I love how the author built their story—I was swept away on page one and read straight through to the end. Swoon!

Chastity is a teacher whose focus is on her students but when she hears her favorite teenage band Soul Obsession is planning a reunion tour she jumps at the chance to follow the tour. Xander is a bodyguard for the band and when he sees Chastity he falls for her hard. This is a fast paced, instalove story with likable characters, danger, drama, suspense, steam, humor, and a great ending. Burning for the Bodyguard is a great addition to the multi-author Galentine's Groupies series. I look forward to reading the rest of the series. The moment he sees Chastity his need for her can not be contained. It was a very smexy scene as he described her beauty and his desire. Very hot
