Overview: Star Wars Legends, formerly known as Expanded Universe (or abbreviated as EU), encompasses every one of the officially licensed, fictional background stories of the Star Wars universe, outside of the original six Star Wars films produced by George Lucas and certain other material such as Star Wars: The Clone Wars, created before April 25, 2014. It is derived from and includes most official Star Warsrelated books, comic books, video games, spin-off films, television series, toys, and other media created before the date. This material expands and continues the stories told in the films, taking place anywhere from over 36,000 years before The Phantom Menace to 136 years after Return of the Jedi. The issue of which aspects are canon was one of the most hotly debated topics among fans.

Good lead-in to Republic Commando Triple Zero. It is mentioned a few times though out Triple Zero and wished I had read it first. You get re-introduced to Omega as well as some new characters. 1 Gunnar152
A decent little side-story set prior to the events of Triple Zero. Nothing crazy, but fills in some background for plot elements that are brought up in that book. The writing is on par with the rest of the series. It would have been nice if it were mentioned somewhere that this was in the back of the book prior to the main story since it does take place before the novel it is printed with.2023 endless-pile-of-sci-fi in-our-library ...more James7

This short story was turned into an audio production by fans and this is a review of that, as much as it is a review of this short story.
It is really hard to review a short story without spoiling everything. For a short story, this one was good and gripping. New characters were introduced and connections were established quickly. There was a descent twist at the end even though it didn't allow the hero main characters to shine as much. Before she had a falling out with the Star Wars Universe Karen Traviss wrote a lot of good military novels. Jim C1,599 25
A quick short story about a squad of clone troopers that handle a hostage crisis. This story is a nice read for such a short story and fits nicely with the clone wars. It also gives information about life as a clone trooper.
