I enjoyed the first book, Timberwolf, but I might have to say the second is even better!

I don’t want to spoil either book in the series, but just know that this one is also hard to put down. There’s a little less Timberwolf, and we get to know some other characters in this world a lot more in the second book. Some parts are a little dialogue heavy but the voices of the characters are all very different, and you get to know them through how they respond to different situations!

The Symmetry are a terrifying race of aliens that want to destroy EVERYTHING. They’ve been trapped somehow in an area guarded by black holes and some mysterious force that’s locked them in time. The clone of a terrible psycho jerk (Gray) wants to set them free… Who trapped the Symmetry in the first place? Why is this clone essentially unkillable? And who the hell would clone a jerk Gray?

The plot is higher than high stakes which means our guy Timberwolf needs a LOT of help. But… a lot of curveballs are thrown his way that could destroy his chances at stopping Gray. He’s no longer a one man army because the threat has literally multiplied.

Tom Julian’s world building is fantastic as always. The sheer creativity behind the worlds and characters he’s created seems to get better and better with each book!1 1 comment Jesse Schifano1 review
