Alissa and Jed have a hectic life taking care of their babies and dogs. Jed's craft distillery is gaining more and he is happy with his business. Alissa is also starting a new business which is doing well in its early phase. The only bad part of their lives is Jed's parents. They have no relationship with the children, intensely dis Alissa because she isn't good enough for their son plus they make fun of his occupation and want him to join the family distillery. Alissa and Jed remain strong and realize that they don't need anyone that negative in their lives. There are lots of surprises in this book with several of the sisters getting pregnant - for some it was a surprise and for others it was answered prayer.

This last book was uplifting and a perfect ending for this year's Christmas stories. Hopefully we'll go back to Cedar Mountain Lodge in 2022.

This is Alisa's story, and she is all grown up and married to Jed. They have two children, and Alissa, decided to become a full time Mom, and gave up her career as a kindergarten teacher. Alissa wasn't as confident as her sisters, but after she and her Nan were going through jam recipes, she discovered her love of making jam. She started making them, and created new jams, while being home with her children.
Jed has a vodka business that he started with the help of Alissa, and he thought expanding the business to include jams was a great idea. We see Alissa starting to believe in herself, and seeing that she can be as creative as her sisters. The day comes when decisions have to be made, the businesses are booming and the children are getting older. Alissa has to ask herself can she have both, be a good Mom and have her jam business.
Alissa lost her parents in a car accident when she was 10 and Maddie became her foster mom and eventually adopted her. As she became a mother herself, she thought about Maddie and her sisters, but she also thought about her parents, and Jed's parents made him choose between them and their business or Alissa. When he chose Alissa, they wouldn't see him anymore. Life prepares us for what is to come, and Alissa and Jed were able to make the decisions that were right for them, and she was able to see herself through the love of their hearts. It is an emotional story, the other books in the series, because it is life, with a lot of heart and soul, and seeing what happens from the childhood to being the grown up. Laila Nelke326 2

Such a great, beautifully written story filled with joy, hopes, love, surprises and success that overtakes disappointments and sad moments which is part of life's ballance, too. Family that was made by heart and soul not blood and this bound them all together even stronger which is so inspirational to everyone! Tess Thompson is so talented writing such heart strings touching stories and never disappoint her readers, every time surprising us by the depths of her fantastic stories.

This story focuses on the decisions we are often forced to make, whether good or bad, right or wrong. Tess has a knack at capturing the soul of her characters, which she has done with Alyssa, enabling you to envision their happiness and positivity no matter the situations. Two sisters brought together at ages eight and ten from foster care into a lovely home with two other girls. Being the youngest, Alissa and Hailey immediately bond and that bond is still true and strong into adulthood even though they don’t live in the same town anymore. This is a lovely book about the different ways families form and love. I heartily recommend this book and the Soul Sisters series. This is a continuation of Alissa’s story. Alissa has 2 children and has been making jams to sell. Her husband Jed has encouraged her to expand her business as far as she can take it in coordination with his distillery business. Alissa and Hailey are still as close as they were as children when they first met. Both Alissa and Hailey love their husbands and children as their families grow. Christmas Star -the 11th book of Christmas

What fun it’s been following the soul sisters, their adoptive mum and Nan through 11 books very cleverly written by separate author’s collaborating, it’s important not to miss any out though! Book 1 teases each character and each successive one brings the individual stories out, I loved this last one, Christmas Star, the only disappointment was that only Alissa whose story it is, and Hailey the closest sibling, feature and I missed catching up with a Addie, Claire, Stevieand Jo. What a lovely story! This is the 11th book in the Soul Sisters series. Alissa and Jed are so in love with each other and their two precious babies. Jed made the right choice to leave his family's business and start his own in another state. His parents are absolutely nasty! Alissa and her family are so warm and loving. I can't wait to read more of the series. Thank you Tess for more hours of enjoyment.

I love all the books in this series. Christmas Star is the continuation of Jed and Alissa's romance. This well written book immerses the reader in their day to day life. With a toddler and a new baby on the way, Jed encourages Alissa to market her jams wide. His parents are still hostile. My interest was captured on page one and held until I reached the end. Christmas Star is a wonderful addition to the Soul Sisters books. The characters are very real and so are many of the situations they find themselves in. Family doesn't always have to be by blood, as all of the soul sisters would attest. This book is a continuation of Alissa and Jed's journey, and believe me, they have full plates! I have loved this series. The story expands on Alyssa and Hailey, the two youngest sisters. Now they are married and have babies and are far away from each other. We learn more about Alyssa and her family. I did miss not having Maddie, Stevie and Jo active in the story. But they did have their own stories in previous books.
