This book was a super quick and easy read and would probably appeal to a lot of middle grade readers which is the intended audience. This is also the first book published on 2018 that I've read. That's kind of a big deal to me because I'm really bad at reading new books.

I enjoyed the book for the most part. It was a fun, lively story with a cute animal protagonist. Crimson was realistic and her struggle, while not necessarily something most people can relate to at surface level, was understandable. Most people have ly been thrust into being responsible for something without necessarily agreeing to it. I that Crimson does not wallow in self-pity, she's a motivated character.

The story felt rushed in a lot of places. It felt things just suddenly happened and it took me out of the immersion. I feel this wouldn't be a big deal if I was a middle grade reader. Then again, I seem to be reading a lot of books where the events just seem to happen suddenly.

Overall this book was pretty good and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens in the next one and hopefully I don't have to wait too long.

One criticism I will make that's not related to the book content but rather the format. I could only find it on Kindle eBook with no Kobo version. I had to use my dinosaur of a tablet to read it on the app. I hope that this book is expanded to more eBook formats soon because not everyone owns a Kindle. Roxann876 9

I enjoyed the book. It was a fun story with animal characters that were cute. Crimson, the lead, seemed realistic and her struggle would appeal to readers. The book was a quick read for me. I love dragons and animal characters in stories. This book is written for middle grade readers and I feel many would be attracted to it.

Very entertaining book! I love dragons! I also am a huge dog lover, so a canine that guards and protects dragon hatchlings is just a great story, if written well. This story is written very well! The characters are fun to read and I love the story of the two legs who lived in the caves. Another alternate future for humans maybe? Anyway, dragons, lizards canines, magic.. Just a good story. But I didn't want it to end where it did, so I hope I get to read the next one soon!

Great Book that is inspirational and interesting and enjoyable to read each page is wonderful and I love the cover it is beautiful.

This really makes you think about your life and shows you that being yourself is the best thing ever.
