This book really resonated with me and I loved it. There is so much of this book that just struck a nerve with me that it added to my enjoyment. I absolutely loved this book and added a few more by the author to my kindle. This book is about Noel and Monty but his brother and sister in law play a role so I grabbed their book.

With all that said, I would give a bonus star if I could for the PITT and Steelers reference because I am fans of both. I actually felt I could see the story unfold in my mind as the location of the story and the raising animals and learning responsibility were part of my life too.

Monty and Noel were great characters as was Callie. The relationship between father and daughter was super sweet and only slightly fraught with teenage angst. Sugarplum was a sweety.

The mystery may have played second fiddle to the relationships of the people in town but it was so well done that I didn't mind. I had read 30% of the book without even realizing it as this book is easy to read. Close to Sleigh Bells was a terrific small town drama that allowed readers to catch up with others in the town and read a light and spirited holiday tale. Absolutely perfect for this time of year.

This book is an excellent Christmas themed read all the way to the great ending! It focuses on the women that are powerful at managing their business and rescuing themselves from dangerous situations. Noah meets Laura an independent woman who owns a horse rescue farm and gives riding lessons. Noah is a local electrician and handymen who realizes he is attracted to her and does a bunch of rewiring in her large barn. Noah’s daughter is very inventive and manages to foil a kidnapping but must organize a sleigh ride and bivouac in the snowy woods overnight.

This was the perfect cozy and heartwarming read for the holidays. It definitely has winter vibes. I really enjoyed the setting and all the characters in the story. I curled up with a blanket and read this whole story in one day. There was barley any drama but lots of love. This is my first read by this author and I think she did a wonderful job. What a cute story full of hope and love in a small town. The family and friends of Noel and Callie find some new friends with the new resident and horse therapist in Monty. Lots of things going on in the town with Christmas coming and although certain things happen it all works out in the end.

Fun read for holidays

Suzanne Ferrell never disappoints. I don't buy many books but I always buy hers. It was a nice story and not too long. Just a warm comfortable read with a little drama. I highly recommend this, and all her books. 1 Peggy Hull10

This was a really Goodreads! It had something for everyone…so much happening there towards the end. The storyline was awesome; the characters were well developed; the plot was totally amazing; and the HEA just made your heart sing.
