Dawn of the After Days de Steve Gilmore

Sinopsis

It’s all fun and games until somebody loses an angel.

Dean Robinson, Seventh Deacon of the Seventh line, found God. Literally. He was sitting in the basement reading a newspaper. It was awkward.

And with the big guy’s help, Dean and his wise cracking crew of supernatural sidekicks somehow managed to snuff out Lucifer’s misguided angel mutiny before it unleased a giant sized can of whoop ass on mankind. Cool.

But, as fate would have it, God then decided he was mad. So he summarily deported all the angels to Earth and decreed they would learn to coexist with humans, Nephilim, and all things in between. Or die trying. Not cool.

With the world on the cusp of an angel incursion as a power hungry delegation of eclectic uber beings sort out the new world order, Dean, Doc Kelly, and the crew race through time and space to find the only thing that can save the planet from literally falling apart at the seams. Oh, that’s right. The planet was literally falling apart at the seams too. Total bummer.

Gilmore’s fourth book in the Heaven’s Dark Soldiers series brilliantly sets up the second trilogy with a delightfully fantastical storyline spanning all manner of interdimensional mischief and mayhem. With laugh out loud dialogue, unrelenting action, and an ever evolving cast of unnatural characters, DAWN OF THE AFTER DAYS will keep you knocking back pages as you flip beer. Wait, what?

STEVE GILMORE is a former Army Ranger and graduate of West Point. His urban fantasy novels are a distinctive blend of military grit and apocryphal lore that have been enjoyed by readers around the world. His books are recommended for readers who enjoy Jim Butcher’s Dresden Files, Kevin Hearn’s Iron Druid, or Steve McHugh’s Hellequin Chronicles.

Lord Almighty!

So, Ethan ( also known as God) washes his hands with everything, throws everyone under the bus then goes home. What a mess he left!
The Eden Accord…what a joke that turns out to be. But to save the earth from coming apart at the seams they must work together. NOT!
One epic quest later, it appears help has arrived in the form of the Original Builders. And as Dean finds out, Ethan isn’t real thrilled with their answer. With good reason. Seems he had driven them off when they decided to enslave the human race.
Meanwhile the Archangel Uriel has slipped away, successfully enclosing the Great Pyramid in a force field…you know, him wanting that power source for himself to rule over them all.
Follow along to see how that goes. And for what is yet to come! Julie A17

Another A+ adventure with Dean Robinson and his superhuman team of bad-*ss peeps! Again, I’m sitting on the edge of my seat in suspense and laughing out loud for the entirety of the book! A great ending that leaves me wanting more, more, more! Calvin164 2

Gods, Angels, and Monsters Oh My

Gilmore hits it out of the park again with the newest entry in the Dean Robinson series. Plenty of action, hijinks, and laughs. Owen's 4th wall breaks are hilarious as always Lelia Howell207 3

A good book again

Thank you for writing the book. You should let the main character get a chance to change clothes before something else happens to him.o Dwayne S. Dohler2

Dawn of the After Days

Easy reading with the cutting edge of excitement but with wit and humor. Language is a bit much but as a veteran, it rings so true. timothy m james56 1 follower
