Hope is snowed in at Silver Resort where she planned to meet up with her girlfriends for a fun retreat. When she checks in and realizes that the only other guest at the resort is non other than the man who ruined her life and her career a year earlier, she is determined to keep her distance from him. But, when she learns that her life is in danger because of what she witnessed at the time of the accident, but can't remember the details of, she slowly begins to trust that Jag might be there to protect her rather than destroy her.

This story is full of romance, forgiveness, drama and some danger. The last part of the story is intense and keeps you on the edge of your seat to see how the story will end. I was rooting for Jag. He is a tender-hearted teddy bear who was too trusting and was caught up in a mess.

This was a sweet, clean romance that was a lot of fun to read and there is a happy ending.

I can always count on Fowers to write a powerful redemption story. It's even one for Hope since she's lost hers after the accident, but it's especially one for Jag. Their individual backstories and the shared one of their first meeting (the accident a year ago) are interwoven in the present day where they are snowed in at a posh resort with the zany owner Margaret who's determined to play matchmaker for them.

This is a heartbreaking and heartwarming tale of overcoming our weaknesses and learning to trust in God. And it's totally swoony.

I d everything about this book.  The characters of Hope, Jag, and Margaret, and how Margaret loved her Christmas romance movies and playing matchmaker.  I d the romantic suspense which kept me on pins and needles trying to figure out how everything would turn out.I d how Hope saw something in Jag and felt hope for him as he forgave himself, turned to his faith, and found redemption.  I d how Jag made Hope fight to not accept being in a wheelchair for the rest of her life.  I especially d how Jag turned his life around and wanted to be a part of a family and turn his mom's family traditions into his own family  traditions.  I really enjoyed the epilogue.  I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review. Really enjoyed this book. Took a minute to really get into it, but then couldn’t put it down.
Hope was headed to Silver Resort for a vacay with her friends. She hits a wicked storm and barely makes it to the resort. She was struggling to get up the ramp in her wheelchair. A stranger helps her up. She then looks and realizes that it was no stranger at all. It was Jag, the man driving the other vehicle that caused the loss of her leg use.
The two are forced to spend time together and they learn to love one another and see past the basics. They even have killers after them and must learn to trust each other.

This book is a great read! It's a sweet romance that has just the right amount of action, suspense and inspiration to keep you turning the pages. It has wonderful characters, a beautiful setting and I hated to see it end. The author brings the story to live with her words and you feel you are there.

Sweet and Heart Pounding

Stephanie Fowers has done it again with a heart pound mystery and a sweet love story that almost breaks your heat with all the wrenching angst of two people brought together by forces coming after both of them.
