I wanted to this more than I did. Cadence being 23 serves no purpose other than making the “older” guys in the pack more taboo feeling. As if we didn’t already have enough of that with Max being her best friend’s father. And we threw in brother’s best friend trope with her brothers being literal awful people to her for getting a pack. I also could have lived without West calling her father daddy so often jeeez

The Barrett situation felt similar to Nash in the first book and was honestly boring. Most of the characters in this book had zero personality and it’s just uninteresting.

Loved it.
There was just something that the first book in this series had to make it a 4.8, that this one is missing. And I can’t put my damn finger on it.

Maybe it’s the relationship development?
I feel we didn’t get much time getting to know the guys and bonding, because we were all a little more focused on trying to fix the relationship that was already existing between her and Barrett.(yes. I forgot her name. Shhhh. It’s fine.
