Cute story but it kinda jumped everywhere and the timeline was unrealistically too fast. I didn't get to feel or see the development or the chemistry between the main characters. I did Zoey and Dangers story better. 1 Tenika Glover572 2

Being in the spotlight for a powerful politician ain't for the weak. Joseph changed his name to Yusef because he didn't want to walk in his father's footsteps or anything associated with him. Bellami used Yusef as a come up because of his tattooing and family name. All Bellami had to do is going to school Yusef asked. Zoei was their golden child because she followed their rules and did anything to please them. Zoei couldn't stand Donovan because that's who her parents picked for her. Her true love was Danger. Iysis came Yusef life and took it by storm. Bellami knew she messed up by faking a pregnancy and a plot to kidnapped Iysis. What is up with Yusef and his mama shooting folks in kneecaps and feet? Yusef and his mama had a real heart to heart talk. His father is a distant memory now that he's in jail. Iysis is living Bellami life. Zoei got her happily ever after. Loving your child conditionally is trash, and I really felt for Yusef! All he wanted was the love and acceptance of his parents, but all they could do was tear him down! Although Zoei was spoiled with material things, she was stifled and not able to be her authentic self! She moved how her parents wanted her to, as to not disappoint them, but where does her happiness fit in? That damn Bellami was a mess, and Yusef couldn't get rid of her fast enough! How you go through all that for a man that you pushed away? I loved Danger for Zoei, and the patience he had to deal with her situation. Iysis was just the ray of light that Yusef needed to get him out of the funk he was in between Bellami, and his parents! Good read, but some of the story felt choppy, and things weren't fully fleshed out as they could have been.
