Do you believe in love at first sight? When it involves Adair Hutton and her first view of Easton and his mesmerizing blue eyes she just may. This book is novella length and I enjoyed it immensely. I read it all in one sitting. This is the first time I've read this author and I'd love to read more by her. As a surprise to her family traveling nurse, Adair decides she's had enough traveling and is ready to come back and put down roots in her hometown. The surprise is on her though when she decides to come home for Christmas without telling her family and finds them gone on a tropical vacation. I loved to see the sweet and respectful interaction with our two main characters. Fast paced romance that felt the characters had known each other for a long while. I do hope to see these characters in a longer book to catch up with them.

The writing style was perfect for the story and it flowed so well. I loved the main characters and I thought that their interaction was great. They were well developed and completely lovely, I just wanted to give them a big hug!

I read the story the same afternoon I started it as I didn’t want to leave Adair and Easton and I wanted to see if they would make it to their final destinations.

This holiday romance is delightfully sweet and puts cheer in the hearts of readers and scrooges. Adair and Easton are wonderfully strong, compelling characters that draws readers into their difficult journey home for Christmas story. The fast paced plot keeps readers holding their breath in anticipation of what will happen on this couple’s as they encounter each obstacle on their Christmas journey. Although the story is short, the romance is sweet and the chemistry sizzles with abandon while it puts smiles on reader’s faces and spreads Christmas cheer throughout.

TO FRIENDS, FAMILY AND A WHITE CHRISTMAS

What a fun story that will bring two people together and have them sharing a crisis but making an adventure out of the situation. This is a sweet clean, romantic comedy that takes place during the Christmas holidays.

Adair Hutton is giving up her traveling nurse duties and moving back to Seattle, Washington where she has accepted a permanent position at the local hospital. As a native of Seattle, she is tired of missing out on family, holidays, and it’s time to move back home.

The plot will have Adair leaving Little Rock and returning to Seattle. The problem is one issue after another with traffic jams, missed flights, canceled flights all while just wanting to get home to celebrate Christmas with her parents and siblings. The bright spot is meeting another passenger, Easton McQuin, cartoon artist that is also leaving Little Rock for Seattle.

With both Adair and Easton heading in the same direction, they are both affected by each delay. His outgoing, bubbly personality is a positive experience with everything falling apart. Together, they spend time talking, having meals together, sharing cabs, ubers, and even finding transportation to their destination. The journey along the way will have these two realize that they are kindred spirits, with the same s and interest. It doesn’t help there is an attraction and leading to insta-love.

The story is clean, there is only some kissing, but plenty of time for these two to learn more about each other, and become close. This is a fun holiday tale that any traveler can appreciate. The story is a great example of attitude and how you handle yourself and treat others when less than stellar circumstances come your way. Easton and Adair kept a positive attitude and made the journey interesting.

“We wouldn’t have met or gotten to know each other if the delays hadn’t happened.” Easton pointed out.

am always pleased when I get an email from Sharon Kleve to review her books, they are always well written cute and wonderfully romantic. This was no exception.

Never too early for Christmas, which is a magical time.

We all want to be home at Christmas, but there is the travel bit that is involved and this story is just that Adair is leaving the town she was living in and taking up a job in Seattle to be back home with those she loves.

this is not all doom and gloom with traffic problems and cancellations as she meets Easton who is travelling in the same direction and are both affected by the delays and cancellations. They get to know each other and realise there is a spark between them. if this had not happened we would have not met - it does happen.

Beautifully written and as the weather gets colder the reader will snuggle up for an afternoon and immerse themselves in this lovely romance and Christmas as an added bonus.

Sweet, sexy bite-sized holiday read for those moments in between cooking and guests. Strangers connect in more ways than one on a journey home for the holidays. Weather and miscommunication conspire to throw these two soulmates in the same terminal, bus, hotel and restaurant, and finally, flight to Seattle. Lots of juicy innuendo and kissing. An adult spicy but not hot well-charactered and written story told from a single point of view main character narrative. When you need a little downtime during the craziness of the upcoming holiday season, pick up a Sharon Kleve bite-size romance from this prolific author.pop-fiction1 Jean115

I thought this was a sweet, lovely story about two people finding each other at Christmas. Adair and Easton were able characters, you couldn't help but smile as you read their story. The trials and tribulations of traveling during the Christmas season and how they were able to overcome the difficulties and laugh and enjoy the experience. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Not Quite Christmas is a cute holiday story. Adair Hutton is a traveling nurse who travels all over the country. Thus, Adair never gets home for the holidays. This year, however, Adair decides the time has come to go home, and perhaps even stay on afterwards. As she travels home, she meets up with Easton, a traveling cartoon artist, who moves around freely and has no real destination for the holidays or for any other time frame, except to spend the coming holidays with his friends in Seattle. Nevertheless, a storm interferes, and things do not work out quite the way the duo envisions. In addition, Adair finds herself in a bit of a pickle because her family has decided on a different way to spend the holidays this year, and, since she never comes home, has not told her about their plans. During their travel, Adair and Easton have become close, almost a solid “couple”. Thus, Adair has a ready-made back-up for the holiday she planned that fate has conspired against. Can they make it work? They have not known each other very long, but things seem to be heating up between them fast, and the prospect of spending the holidays together only adds to the mix.

This is a cute Christmas short story. Because it is a short story, in the interest of time and space, the author opens up “in medias res”. Easton and Adair already have met and have passed through the perilous but interesting early stages of any relationship. I found it interesting that the story begins with them already acting a couple, though I understand why. The shortness does not provide much of an opportunity to develop the duo as characters or as a couple, but whips along quickly, as events take over. The story was almost too short for my tastes, as I prefer to watch relationships and characters develop through good writing and events. However, this was a good quickie to sit down with and read. As usual, the author writes well and convincingly, bringing out the story though the time and space is limited. This is therefore a good book to pass a quick time with while getting into the holiday. I received this from the author to read and review.

NOT QUITE CHRISTMAS IS ROMANTIC AND MAGICAL LOVE STORY THAT BRINGS TWO PEOPLE TOGETHER. ADAIR AND EASTON ARE DEFINITELY SOULMATES. FROM THEIR FIRST MEETING UNTIL THE END OF THE STORY, THEY HAD SUCH A CONNECTION AND IT FELT SO NATURAL FOR THEM TO BE TOGETHER. IT FELT LIKE ADAIR AND EASTON HAVE KNOWN EACH OTHER FOR YEARS INSTEAD OF THE SHORT TIME THEY WERE TOGETHER.

SHARON KLEVE'S STORIES ARE ALWAYS SO MAGICAL AND ROMANTIC. THE CHARACTERS AND THE STORY LINES ARE SO VERY REAL AND BELIEVABLE. IT FEELS LIKE THE CHARACTERS HAVE KNOWN EACH OTHER FOREVER. YOU CAN ALWAYS FEEL THE CONNECTION. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR ROMANTIC CHRISTMAS STORY, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT QUITE CHRISTMAS. YOU WILL FALL IN LOVE WITH THE CHARACTERS AND SHARON'S WRITING. Adair Hutton is a travel nurse that is looking to get back home for the holidays to spend Christmas with her family.

Unfortunately for Adair nothing seems to be going right with storms coming in and her flight being cancelled until she meets a fellow stranded passenger Easton McQuin.

Will Adair put her trust in Easton to help get her home in time or will she decide to wait it out?

This was a fun Christmas book that is sweet with the romance and will get you in the Christmas spirit!

I thought Adair was a great character and I completely understood why she wanted the chance to spend the holidays with her family. I can only imagine how frustrated she must have been when the weather played havoc with all of her plans.

Initially I actually thought Adair was going to be paired up with her uber driver and not Easton! I d Easton and I was really hoping he wasn't going to end up some completely crazy guy!

I d how the two worked together and I was heartbroken for Adair with how much effort she was getting to Seattle for one phone call to change everything.

I thought Easton was great and how he included Adair in everything. review-author Cassie MayAuthor 9 books86

This was a short and fast paced novella that left me a bit lost. Lost, because it felt as if there was no real story to this. It felt more a short story that could have been done with one or two scenes than a novella with a plot and development.
The characters were rather flat, but I d them even though I found some of their actions rather careless in this time and day, even more so with knowing that she was a nurse. Their interaction and banter was funny and easy to read and led me straight till the end. The ending wasn't unexpected, but still nice and rounded the story.
What I missed was a real christmassy feeling. That didn't really come up while reading and I was a bit sad about this. The writing style itself was good, without complicated wordings or phrases that would have put me off of reading.

Adair has been living all over as a nurse. She has decided to come home and settle in the town with her family and goes home for Christmas to surprise them. Meanwhile there are all kind of flight cancellations because of the weather.
Easton is a cartoon artist who is going to Seattle and stay with friends and maybe live there permanently. They both end up sharing an uber and riding a bus together and traveling together and find they have a lot in common and there is an attraction. Since this only has 89 pages it is an instalov/romance which I don't normally but then again they moved slowly and you do get enough of a glimpse to see what they are together and the chemistry.
It was a great book that I received from the author.from-publisher-read Wall-to-wall books - wendy982 22

Nice, clean, quick little romance with a snowy Christmas backdrop. I don't know how two canceled flights and a long bus ride with a stranger can turn into a nice little Christmas romance - but it did!
Nice character development (I actually d both of them).

"And I feel silly admitting this, but I am also a fan of the Sharknado movies." I whispered. - ME TOO!!!!!! I actually need to catch up on them. I have only seen the first 3 LOL

"Same here. I love The Shining, IT, and Pet Cemetery. All three creeped me out, but in an entertaining way." - again ME TOO! Hmm I have a lot in common with these people!

Sharon always delivers a great romance no matter the time of year :-)

I love reading Christmas stories this time of year. Not Quite Christmas is the wonderful story of Adair and the Christmas she is expecting and the Christmas she ends up with. And as she finds out, one isn't necessarily better than the other, they're just different.

Adair and Easton had to endure numerous roadblocks in order to get 'home' for Christmas. It was hard on them but the time they got to spend together drew them closer together. This just could be a Christmas they both won't forget.

Sharon is a new-to-me author but I her writing and will be checking out her other stories.

There's just something about a sweet Christmas story that makes me believe in the magic of Christmas and this story was no exception. I smiled and laughed out loud as I was reading and the story just warmed my heart. You know what they say about best laid plans and this lovely tale about trying to get home for the holidays is no exception. You also never know when or under what circumstances love strikes. I highly recommend this beautiful story especially if you love stories that leave you with a warm and fuzzy feeling. You'll enjoy this to the end Julia David2,113 17

I really enjoyed this short story. Adair has decided to surprise her family by coming home for Christmas. After delayed and cancelled flights, she ends up at a hotel with a traveling partner. Easton has decided that Seattle may be the place for him. When he spies a beautiful stranger that appears to be going to Seattle too, the trip turns into an adventure. Easton and Adair are drawn to each other and when they find they are supposed to be on the same cancelled flight, they decide to travel together. Along the way they find love. Sydney Hopke1,285 17

What a great holiday story that makes you smile and laugh. A story about when you want to get home for the holiday and surprise your family but nothing goes right expect for meeting a handsome man. This is what happens to Adair but her trip home is fully of bumps but Easton makes it fun and not so terrible. Because how can falling in love be bad? When you want to read but don't have a ton of time then pick up this book, it'll leave a smile on your face. Mary Jo2,378 57

Entertaining holiday travel romance. Adair gets the chance to surprise her family for Christmas but Mother Nature is working against her. When she gets stuck in Little Rock, she meets Easton, a fellow traveler in the same situation. They form a bond and make the best of a difficult travel situation as they work to get from Little Rock to Seattle. This is a sweet and fun romance that felt real, who hasn’t had a trip gone wrong. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review. Mary2,753 22

This is short, sweet and romantic. Two people trying to get Seattle for Christmas, her to family, him to friends. They end up spending a lot of time together because their flights keep being cancelled. They have fun, get to know each other and fall in love. It's a heartwarming and entertaining story.
I recieved a complimentary copy of this book from Hidden Gems. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it. Renee5

I will be the oddball because this book wasn't that great to me. The characters seemed rushed, under-developed, able but not believable. The plot is also unbelievable and is in no way an escape, which is what I read for. The story just didn't feel as if it flowed well for me. A decent short read but not great. Kimi Court163 9
