I can always count on her to pull me out of a slump! This book was so good! It took so many twist and turns. I’m still trying to pick my jaw up off the floor. It did leave me with a few questions. And I would love a spin-off! Outstanding 3 s Alexandria Woods981 4

I'm Still Confused

*****Spoilers*****

This book could've been spectacular with the storyline, the characters, and the revelations but as it's written, it's doing too much while also doing not enough. Noir is part human, part which, part wolf living with wolves who hate her because she has witch ancestry. The book opens with her running from her old pack betas who have found her to take her back to the pack that their alpha rules. She's beat up repeatedly, chained, and contained in a cell on pack lands until her mate mates with her. The sexual assault, the physical and verbal abuse, and the uncertainty about whether Noir d it and without more insight into wolf culture made those parts difficult to get behind. But I was rolling with it thinking that Noir would figure things out. She doesn't and just lets herself be taken advantage of and used in more ways than one once the book ends. I was disappointed too because it would be a really good read. The magic wasn't explained well, the powers of the supernatural weren't described enough, there's danger all the time but scenes take divergent turns until I was lost at times. I've finished the book but still don't get how a manifestation of Noir separated itself from her or how Axel was able to separate from Viggo to become a completely separate being. The vampire mate was revealed super late in the book and just disappears after waking Noir from a coma with a kiss. There just isn't enough explained, the story and characters lacked a certain depth, and at times, I wondered if the author had an idea and just threw it into the story without fully thinking it through. Don't get me wrong, the ideas are great but the hodge podge way they're included means the reader is constantly bouncing from one thing to the next without resolution.

There are punctuation, spelling, and grammatical errors throughout. One of the character's names is misspelled more than once, and the chapters switched perspectives without notice. Overall I think I could've loved this one had it not had so many issues. 1 Barbara Lloyd10

Please don’t ever write in this genre again

I need to purge this story out of my mind. This could have been a good story but all I read and saw were the characters zig zagging through every chapter. Nothing made sense. I’ve never been so confused with anything I ever read before. How could a editor or a publishing company put this through. If your self published, then you need to know deep down in your soul that this isn’t a good book. Shannon J.117 1 follower

Magic Noir!

What a wild ride! This book was amazing to read, despite a few errors/typos. I hope there is a part 2, if not, then I will trust the author is working that out. Great mix of African folklore, culture, love, and action. AGAIN, I need part 2!!! Juli_xox12
