Sinopsis

Trapped in a future where everything has changed…
In Book One of In Times to Come, Alan Carson passes through a glitch in time that rips him right out of 2012, the year he has returned from his final deployment with the Marine Corps in the ongoing war in Afghanistan.
Alone in the remote wilderness and ranch country of southwestern New Mexico and cut off from the life he knew before, Alan learns that it is now 2029 and that the nation he served has fallen into collapse.
Alan’s only connection to the life he knew before is the daughter of his former squad leader, killed in action back in April 2012. Alan knows he can trust her with his story, but will Sierra and Alan find a way to wind back the 17 years he’s lost? Or will they find something else; something far more unexpected?..M.F

Couldn't put it down!

I love this series of books and the author really makes you feel you're right there with him and with the characters they're so alive and it's just great. I love this series I can hardly wait for the next volume.1 Kristoffer Jost55 1 follower

Just okay

I was looking forward to reading this sequel, but was put off right away to see that there would be a year wait for a third book. However, I know I won’t be bothering to continue reading after this disappointing volume. There’s way too much redundant inner dialogue and repetition of scenes from differing perspectives making the action plod along at a very slow pace. I can get past all that by skipping ahead, but then the author leaves the kidnapped Sierra 2029 somewhere lost in time at the mercy of psychopath Kenneth 2029 while Alan jumps back to 2027 and thinks all is good because he meets Sierra 2027 and can help keep her safe from Kenneth 2027. The story is proceeding as if the only timeline of consequence is the one Alan is currently in and he doesn’t seem to have any concern about the fate of Sierra 2029. 1 Dennis42

this book is what happens when you only have enough of a story for one book, but need to drag the story out over multiple books because of someone's greed.

it felt an AI wrote this, but wasn't given enough references to create much beyond: guy went forward in time, guy went back in time. those two references were repeated, ad nauseam, in every chapter.

we know he went forward in time; we know he went back in time; we read the first book. stop repeating it every other sentence. PLEASE! ernest Lohberger16

A bit patchy

Quite a clever idea but obviously written by a survivalist with very limited characterization and having lived on a large cattle farm the farm part is also unrealistic. The main problem is that the books are very short and end in the middle of the story meaning you will have to purchase the next book to finalise the story. Will try one more book out in six months and if this also ends in a cliffhanger no more Andrea Payne694 5

Still intriguing!

Destiny is Book 2 of the In Times to Come series. There is no resolution, but also no cliffhanger. It is definitely meant to be read in order.

I'm still very intrigued by this concept. I have read many time travel books and none were this one. The writing is as expected from Mr. Williams, engaging and well-developed. There is a good deal more action in this one.

I would absolutely recommend this for anyone. Headed to Book 3! Paul Eastley118 2

Wow. What a great follow up in the "In Times To Come" Series. All I can say is if you read and enjoyed the first one you just have to read number 2. I can't wait for the next installment. Only trouble is it doesn't come out till late next year. Paradoxes abound here in "Destiny" and paradoxes go a long way in making a good time travel story into a great time travel story. This time travel saga is well writen

Part two of this saga has not failed to wet my appetite for more. Jumping back and forth will make for more fun along with more trials and tribulations. kathy pittenger702 2

in times to come

The book is ok. I was not enticed by the author as he built the characters to be emotionally involved. I still read the book. I had a hard time dealing with all th time paradoxes. Marshall Lounsberry5

Great Reading but Hate the Wait for #3

Would have given 5 stars if I hadn't read that the next book in series is almost a year wait. John OBrien78 1 follower
