A potentially engaging plot is marred by less than accurate descriptions of boating in general and scuba diving in particular. One example among many, the protagonist dons his wetsuit upon boarding a small boat bound for Puerto Rico, a ‘mere’ 1000+ nautical miles away. Not only do they arrive at their destination very quickly, but in reality he would have melted to death in the neoprene, as anyone who has experienced the Caribbean sun would attest. Also, the carnage that ends the tale seems unnecessarily brutal and not in keeping with the rest of the plot. Jon Peters6 1 follower
