The best of the series - hands down

If you’ve read even just the first book, you have to get to this one. Some of the main storylines that started there are paid off, and oh what a surprise some of them are.

Revenge. Lust. Forgiveness. All are prominent themes in this book. My favorite of the series thus far.1 Leo R. Hernandez28

Flawless (spoiler alert)

With this effort, Roberts has established herself as a skilled story teller. An indication of such is the ability to surprise the reader. In this offering of the Wrak-Anya series, we have a disgraced leader experience an unexpected redemption as the story reaches the height of what appears to be a very predictable outcome. The author builds a literary trope that the reader recognizes immediately:a powerful bad actor whose cruelty is highlighted by his willingness to allow others to suffer gets his comeuppance by the very people he has persecuted. Nope. Doesn’t turn out that way. Not by a long shot. The result is an original story that is pleasing not only because it veers away from the trope but also because the way it is accomplished: it makes the reader more invested in the characters involved in this process. These are not simply characters in a story following a plot line; these are “real” people with complex motivations that are not easily predicted. Absolutely OUTSTANDING. Can’t wait to start book five!! Larry W. Leek13 1 follower

Great Story of a Hidden People

I am a believer in the existence of creatures such as depicted in these writings and believe they should be left alone. But it is very entertaining to fantasize about how they might live and conduct their personal, tribal and private lives. Great reading. Bigred61261,362 3

Blade

I loved this novel as well. So far the series has been exceptional and I've been reading one book after the other. I'm glad I have two tablets, so when one dies I can start on the next. Marguerite Kelly5

The Healer's Blade

The Healer's Blade was pleasantly surprising. Enjoying the evolution of the characters. Love it!

Anyone who loves a good novel that includes some evolutionary aspects, will love this series. Lori Zimmerman9

The truth finally is finally out. How I have been waiting for this. My two favorite characters are finally together. I love this series. Read M Books181 1 follower

Wow! Leigh Roberts has done it again. She made me FEEL for the characters...whether I wanted to or not. She brings up some very poignant and heavily debated ‘hot topics’ in such a profound way. Her characters are real, raw, and vulnerable. And, Roberts has proven over and over—very much human. And humans are flawed. No one is truly all good or all bad. We judge. We blame. We get our feelings hurt, get angry, hold grudges...all of it. But can we forgive? Can people be redeemed? Can people change? These are themes Roberts weaves through her narrative with aplomb. The fact that she can make me despise a character, yet somehow feel sorry for him too...wow. My mind is blown. I cannot wait to read the next one! Amy11

Hold on to your hats for this part of the journey!
This is one of the best series I have ever read in my 40+ years of reading. Everything is here, suspense, mystery, fantasy, romance, family, coming of age, surprise, shock and awe. I found myself invested in the lives of the characters, rooting for some, loving some, hating others, definitely a roller coaster of emotions. I cried with them, laughed, celebrated and grieved.
I am anxiously awaiting the continuation of this series.
I am a lover of fantasy/sci-fi. This is a unique take in this genre. The character development is rich, enough detail provided about the physical surroundings that I could picture it in my head without needing to read pages upon pages describing the scenery.
Highly recommend! Corina DouglasAuthor 23 books663

Kept the midnight oil burning!!!

This book continued where book 2 left off, continuing the story of Adia and Aacharo at kathma. The anticipated conclusion to the wrongs khon tor had done to Adia are finally addressed in a long, emotionally charged, tension filled confrontation between the high council and all relevant parties. I tried to savour this book and make it last but I just couldn’t! I ended up staying up far too late to realise the conclusion. It was worth the lack of sleep. gp1230928

Did not expect this!

I love a good series where I get to know the people in the story. I did not expect to become friends with them. I get up in the morning and grab my coffee, I can't wait to find out what they are doing, things might have transpired while I was sleeping. Ha ! I enjoy this series so much I even joined Prime so I could read the other books for free
If you a believable series with wonderful characters you must read this one. I promise you will love
