Sinopsis

Meet Kinsey Reed! She's a young 20-something librarian living and working in her hometown of Prairie Brook, South Dakota. She has a good memory, eye for details, and love for mysteries, especially the Grand Dame herself, Agatha Christie. Plus the fact that she's named for Sue Grafton female detective, Kinsey Millhone. All the makings of a great detective.

She hasn't had a good chance to try out those skills until now. That changes when greedy real estate developer Preston Holbrook is found dead in the library. Kinsey's friend, mentor, and boss, Louise, becomes the prime suspect. So Kinsey takes everything she's learned at her former cop father's knee and decides to live up to her namesake.

With the help of her friends, inspiration from Dame Agatha herself, as well as a smart but stubborn bullmastiff, and curious pesky feline. Kinsey will take on the case by any means necessary. Even butting heads with handsome detective, Brody McAllister, in the process.
