An Encouraging Start to a Young Writer's Journey

I recently read "Age of Fire: Rise of the Warriors" by Eden Ross, a 16-year-old high school student making her debut as an author. While the book falls within the fantasy genre, it caters more towards upper middle school readers, specifically 4th or 5th graders.

Eden's writing style is accessible to elementary students, with a limited use of tricky words, making it suitable for a younger audience. However, I noticed the inclusion of some strong language, such as the word "bastard," which might warrant consideration for parents and educators.

As a teacher, I found myself occasionally grappling with the dialogue, as it was at times confusing to discern the speakers. Despite this, I believe Eden shows promise in storytelling, and with continued practice, she can refine her skills.

In supporting young aspiring writers Eden, we contribute to the cultivation of their passion for literature. I look forward to witnessing her growth as a writer and the evolution of her storytelling abilities. I started and finished it in the same day if that tells you anything about how good it is lol. It was such a fun read! It was so easy to be transported into the world of dragons and be super jealous that I don’t have one!

I am beyond impressed and blown away that such a young author wrote such an incredible book, and formatted and edited it herself! While there were a few mistakes here and there, the story made them barely noticeable! The author did an amazing job!

This debut by teen author, Eden Ross, was seriously astonishing! The characters really take on a life of their own and the lore and world building was excellent, if a little confusing in the beginning, which is to be excpected by a fantasy of this level. I loved learning about the dragons and all their different personalities, and I am so excited to see where the story continues! If you love How to Train Your Dragon and Lord of the Rings, this book is for you!3 s Krissy19

I don’t usually do but AWEEEEEE! I just wanted to add some of my favorite things because this book hit my childhood! I will not be giving an explanation for the five stars because everybody needs to read it and find out why! I will be making an instagram post and I cannot wait for book two!!!!!!
