a very good read

This was very good, flowed well and had a good story to it. It was a little slow for me in places, but I still enjoyed it. Loved Ray and Smith. Not a perfect 5 but a solid 4 for me.2 s Donna Patora98 3

The Abduction

The story of the abduction of two children and a flight attendant on two different flights. All were tied into a large drug trafficking cartel. The story was well put together.1 Mary56

Goes to prove three quarter of police work is mental once you become a detective

The plot was exciting and rather real when it came to describing Smiths reaction to killing a man. Unfortunately the non suspects role was rather easy to spot once you did it really didn’t matter As I said earlier the proof was in the intellect that figured it all out A good read all told1 Sherry D'ambrosio406 44

I hate to give bad . Even when a novel is, at best, mediocre, I look for redeeming qualities. The premise here, a child mysteriously kidnapped on a cross country flight, sounded promising. That said, my first impressions of The Abduction were: amateur, plodding, boring. Still I read on a bit hoping to become invested in the characters and the mystery.

It didn't happen. I gave it up at around 26% through. I couldn't connect with the characters; they didn't feel real. There were chunks of backstory thrown in which, I'm sure were intended to help humanize them but just distracted from the case of the missing child. Additionally, there was little in the way of setting or description. Nothing to visualize.

One of the best books I’ve read. Although I had a gut feeling of who was the head of the kidnapping the book still had me in suspense. Honestly I finished the book within hours of starting it Erribella79
