After having finished The Red Cobra, the first book of James Ryker series, I HAD to dive into The Black Hornet because ... well, I couldn't NOT to! The plot is semi-ongoing (technically you CAN read each book as standalone but it would probably make more sense if you read them in order).

Once again, Sinclair delivers one hell of a ride with enough mystery that keeps you guessing till pretty much the last chapter. I love the way this author does dialogue. And his writing in general is so engaging that you find yourself eating up pages there is no tomorrow. This book was a lot more bloody and a lot more violent but what a thrilling ride and Ryker's story is absolutely riveting! This author weaves one hell of a mystery web and if you enjoy thrillers full of action, this series is not to be missed!
