The city of Flagonmead is beset by plague. Homes are boarded up as the sick are quarantined inside. Despite the paranoia of the leadership close to home, Eileen is determined to help those in need.

When a plea for help comes from old friends and a new ally, both Kyne and Eileen must decide what threat to tackle first: the spreading disease or pirates who are determined to take over the island no matter the method or the cost.
