The blurb for this book had me intrigued and I couldn’t resist the opportunity to read it - and I wasn’t disappointed! Christabel Hardy was disappointed not to have made the grade for her dream job but was over the moon when she was immediately offered an alternative one working for a top secret defence department. She is shocked when Carrick O’Neill, a special forces operative, tells her that it really isn’t a defence department she’s working for - but traitors with their own agendas planning on using the talents of her and others her for their own gain. However, as she discovers more the attraction between them grows and the danger escalates!

This is a short but fast paced paranormal romantic suspense where innate PSI abilities, international security and secret agents are all key ingredients. It is a real page turner that had me enthralled and I am so happy to discover it is the first in a series! I can’t wait to read more in the series and will definitely look out for more by this author in future.

I love the Phoenix Agency books and am so happy that it now is in kindle worlds. This is a new author for me and I will definitely be looking for more from her in the future. Christa and Carrick were both well developed characters and the two had hot, hot chemistry. The plot was well written and the world building was also fantastic. Lots of action and chemistry with lots of sexy times thrown in made the pages turn for me. Rebecca merged into the Phoenix Agency world a pro. I loved it!! BreRile815

Quick, fast paced sexy read. Carrick, a soldier injured in the line of duty and recuperating, is recruited for a mission to root out a traitor of the psychic variety. A witch himself, the paranormal doesn't phase him. Christa is a healer thrown for a loop by Carrick. It soon becomes clear all is not as it seems and they race to stop a conspiracy that goes deeper than they know. This book has got it all going on. Hot, exciting, well written characters that are richly drawn, a true page turner. The setting is also as well crafted as the characters, and totally original.
