Then Emma reappears the girl who doesn't fit into his family's idea of who he should be with. You will get more enjoyment if you read the first two books because of the interconnecting characters, but it's not required. Emma and August were from opposites sides of the tracks. He was from one of the richest families in America, and she was the maid's daughter. The Penmaynes were a famous billionaire media family with seven gorgeous sons. August and Emma were attracted to each other, and it cost her mother her job. She was crushed that August didn't come to their rescue. Eleven years later fate brings them together at the hospital where she is a cleaner, and he is the new Doctor on staff. She's still bitter about his betrayal, and he realizes he's still in love with her. But things aren't smooth, as plenty of drama develops. The snooty socialite, a controlling mother and dreams crushed. An amazing book that was an emotional book but with twists to keep you guessing. Dr. HOTNESS is one word I would describe not only August but how Rebecca writes this one-of-a-kind romance book. Emma comes from a family that doesn't have a lot of money and she has dreams of being a ballet dancer someday. August comes from a prestigious and very rich family and when he breaks Emma's heart everything changes. This book has some really great suspenseful parts in it and the romance is just perfect adding a cherry to the top of an ice cream sundae. So, sit back and enjoy a nice bowl of ice cream and this romance book, but eat the ice cream quickly otherwise the HEAT coming from this book will melt it.

This is the third book in the very enjoyable Crystal River Billionaire Brothers Series. This book features Emma and August. August is a member of the billionaire Penmayne family (two of his brothers feature in previous books in the series) and Emma is the maid's daughter. August's mother is a bit of a battleaxe and she manages to separate the two young lovers. I feel that August didn't put up any sort of fight at all for their relationship, even though he must have been aware that by burying his head in the sand, both Emma and her mother would suffer. They meet 11 years later and Emma's life is still a struggle, while he, more or less, has led a charmed life. Emma is a talented dancer but never got a break. August works hard to win her back and help her achieve her dreams. Does their second chance romance work out? You'll have to read the book to find out!.
