This is a really great debut novel and the first of three in this series.
Rosalie is from a good fairly well off family and dreams of following her Dad into his car detailing business. She lives and breathes fast cars and can't wait to finish school and start turning other peoples "rides" into something spectacular. Rosalie, her twin brother Jayden and their tight knit group of school friends all live to take part in underground races, often organised by the twins Dad.
AJ is from the wrong side of the track. Unemployed and living in a motel, he fights in illegal underground fights and "boosts" cars to survive. He becomes obsessed with Rosalie when he scares the life out of her, having followed her home and steals her Dad's prized sports car. The two cross each others paths again and again, AJ charms her and they fall into each other, becoming more than friends.
This is a story of secrets, lies and obsessions that leads to tragedy. Can these two survive the obsession for each other that threatens to tear their lives apart. Rosalie is an innocent in many ways and AJ's lifestyle soon puts her in danger. Can he protect her while proving himself a Champion in his underground world.
This is not a standalone and leaves us with no HEA at the end. My only reservations with this book is the amount of huge screw ups that Rosalie and Jayden make, including people getting badly hurt because of their actions, that her parents just seem to shrug off as normal behaviour. I know it's fiction but there it is, only my view and I would urge you to read and make your own minds up. That said this is a great story, Rosalie and AJ shouldn't work but they mostly do. AJ is not a nice person but for Rosalie he is a Knight in Shining Armour and he will do anything to protect her.
If you love a great love story mixed in with fast cars and illegal fights this is the book for you. The details that R.Snow has put into describing the cars along with Rosalie and her Dad's skills when turning the ordinary car into a dream ride is amazing. I am not a car fan but even I found myself with images of souped up racing cars and late night battles for supremacy. The descriptions of the dirty hidden venues and the fights that take place there are also so well written you can almost smell the sweat and desperation as men battle it out for the prestige and prize money.
As I said this is a great debut From R Snow. I can't wait to get hold of the next book to find out where life will take these two unly lovers. In the meantime grab this and join me in finding out where life will take AJ and Rosalie while we wait.rockstars2 s Sammy 694 16

Tandem felt a very different kind of read for me, this was my first street racing novel and this book captured my attention from the very first page and I could not put this down for even a second.

This is a fantastic debut novel from R Snow, I absolutely adored Rosalie and AJ and I could not get enough of these characters or this world. This follows both FMC (Rosalie) and MMC (AJ) through past and present.

Rosalie is not the typical girl. She eats, sleeps and dreams - fast cars. Rosalie has had her sights with working in her father's detailing auto shop. She has always wanted to paint and detail cars to make them into her customers dream vehicle. Outside of the auto shop, Rosalie and her twin Jayden have a small group of friends that race cars. Another thing her and her twin brother follow in their father's footsteps with. Their father having a street crew: The Flywheels.

Aj lives on the other side of town, the wrong side of the tracks if you will. Having a different lifestyle, he grew up to than Rosalie. Aj works on his own time, not having a set job. His job is finding cars and taking them to chop shops, and when he isn't doing that, he is fighting.

When Aj and Rosalie meet, sparks fly. Their love is a whirlwind set for disaster. Aj introduces Rosalie to his world, where she witnesses what he does for a living. This putting Rosalie in danger. Aj will stop at nothing to keep Rosalie safe, even if that means breaking her heart when taking a deal with Rosalies father and moving away.

THIS BOOK!!!! It is book one in this new upcoming series by this author. LET ME TELL YOU, it has a female racer, a street fighter who steals cars, its got spicy scenes and he calls her baby girl and will kill anyone who touches her. What more could you want!! This book was sooooo good, I read through it so fast....the clifhanger at the end....honestly the end just have me crying. It is time for me to go into a corner and cry waiting for book two. Rosalie is the most inocent little bean, I love her so much and her passion for wanting to paint cars and be just her dad, and I love how supportive her dad is of her and her dream. AJ is someone I just want to protect and just give a huge hug. I love their face paced relationship and how it just was, couldnt get her out of his head, I hoenstly can't wait ot see what the author is going to do with the next two books!! plantbookie78 11

Rosalie was such a fun character to read about. She lived, breathed and dreamed about fast cars. She was so passionate about painting custom cars and worked so hard towards her goal.

She had such a great family and I especially loved her relationship with her dad. He was supportive of her dreams and never once doubted her. I definitely saw a little bit of my dad in him.

I’m not much of a car girl (needs new tires? Throw the whole thing out…) but this was so fun! I felt I was sitting in the passenger seat with Rosalie while she was driving. The tandem racing scene had my heart racing!

Listen about AJ… smh. He really hurt my feelings at the end
