This book was phenomenal. FMC is caught is the crosshairs of an unknown threat and the only way to keep her safe is to marry her to the man who killed for her safety in the first 10 seconds before she ever learns his name. Sure. Sounds reasonable. She’s 100% on board and convinced that it’s a good idea, but not for her benefit, to also keep his family safe too.
I was enamored with the entire store of Rory and Dev. Rory has kept herself hidden from the world for her entire life and now she’s thrown in the spotlight, Dev’s spotlight. She’s doubting his affection for her and is anxious about what all of this means for her new life. Dev is the golden retriever who knows this marriage will provide an alliance that will protect his family but, more than that, it means he will be the one to protect Rory for the rest of their lives.
I could not put this down and could not get enough of this story and these characters. I loved that is did end in a HEA but the twists and suspense to get there did have me a little worried. Time to go read the first two books in the series to learn more about their friends.

WOWWWWW I am so shocked. This was by far my favorite book in this entire series.
