Reseñas Varias sobre este libro

As a sufferer of severe social anxiety for more than three years, Anxiety: Panicking about Panic, has left me feeling as though I can conquer this issue that has engulfed almost every aspect of my life. The author goes into great depth providing information on what anxiety is, and its very many symptoms as well as mentioning the number of different anxiety disorders that are out there. I have found Joshua Fletcher’s Anxiety Scoring Method to be extremely helpful in identifying and managing my anxiety levels. Anxiety is a very difficult thing to comprehend until you have experienced it first-hand and the author’s knowledge based on his own experiences is what makes this book so relatable. The thing I will most take from this book is that I now have the tools to no longer let fear dictate my life.20169 s William James22 2

This book has been of great help to me.
Firstly, it explains about anxiety and panic to the point. Its easier to deal with something if you have a clear idea about what it is. So, Joshua Fletcher has got that covered. Then it comes to dealing with anxiety and panic. The author points out exactly what we need to do. He simplifies all the points and makes them easier to remember. That's absolutely necessary in case of emergency panic attacks in which case we can't actually remember paragraphs from a book. Overall, It's a good book and I would suggest anyone to get it who is suffering from anxiety9 s Sophie Sternschuss126 13

Found the book quite repetitive. I felt he was talking and explaining anxiety to people who have never had it or experiencing it for the first time. It was all stuff i've heard before.7 s Renée9

The book gives a clear explanation of all the possible symptoms linked to anxiety. It also gives some good reminders to keep in mind when feeling anxious. However, some parts could come across as degrading (for example things 'it's just anxiety'), which might hit a wrong spot if you are currently in a state of very high anxiety. Would recommend for people unfamiliar with anxiety or experiencing a pretty 'general' state of anxiety! (Also, the punctuation errors were really annoying.)4 s Rob Thompson558 48

A personal perspective on anxiety

The author opens up about his struggle with anxiety. He touches on:

1. Understanding more about anxiety.
2. Learning how to challenge your unhelpful thoughts and see things in a more realistic light.
3. Improving your problem solving skills.
4. Learning how to reduce the amount of time you spend worrying.
5. Learning how you can feel more relaxed (physically and mentally).
6. Learning how to stop avoiding the things that make you anxious.

Noe of these topics are covered in detail. The book is only 400 pages long. Nevertheless, its a useful overview of fellow sufferers.2021-challenge audio non-fiction3 s Tara BrabazonAuthor 26 books351

Clearly written, and with a strong argument and excellent strategies, this is a fine short book. While located in the self help genre, there is attention to the context within which stress, worry and anxiety emerge.

The tone, pace and structure of the argument is excellent.2 s Lauren Galpin96

This isn’t the book I wanted to be reading in 2023 but sometimes life steers us in weird directions! I actually enjoyed this. If you’re suffering from anxiety or perhaps you have a partner or friend or family member who is, I recommend this. On several occasions the author says that anxiety is the result of adrenaline and a sensitive nervous system. He explains anxiety and its symptoms in a way that is easy for the reader to digest. Knowledge is power. 2 s Sii15

Concise, straight to the point. It’s a very useful read. When you finally understand what is happening to you, something the doctors don’t bother discussing. I have just finished it so I can’t say anything about the impact of this book on my life but it definitely gives hope! After all, it’s just anxiety ;)1 Rachel Rose42
