An intense, angsty and heartwarming romance with wonderfully written characters.
A very nervous, energetic and enthusiastic Naomi turns up on her first day as Mental Health Consultant for Chicago Grizzlies Baseball team, she is getting along ok with everyone except the star pitcher who is in his last season, ready to retire Alexander. He is cold, disparaging and combative in their sessions. It doesn’t take long however for the true feelings to come to the surface and their sexual chemistry is unable to be contained.
They face some issues, some twists and turns in their relationship but can they both find happiness with the damaged past the each hold?

Naomi has her dream job, working as the mental health specialist with the Chicago Grizzlies baseball team. There's just one problem: star pitcher Alexander. He's angry and standoffish and really wants nothing to do with her (even though he seems to be the 1 who needs her). Eventually these two find a middle ground and the more time that they spend together, the more they see the other as someone that could be more than just a coworker.

Alexander is so angsty, sometimes you want to smack some sense into him. Luckily Naomi didn't have to go that far and she seems to get further with kisses. When you finally get the "give in" it's everything, though! Wendy Livingstone17.4k 212

This is a well written story which has angst, enemies / lovers, emotions, twists, challenges, intense chemistry, second chances, intense chemistry, and forbidden love, which leads to an entertaining, heartwarming, and addictive page turner.

Naomi has mixed feelings about becoming a certified mental consultant for the Chicago Grizzlies football team, which was made possible by her dad. Even though she's been on the job for a few weeks, all the team members constantly praise her, except for Alexander, the star pitcher. At first, he can't stand Naomi, but eventually, something changes. This story has surprises and romance, including some steam, ending in a HEA. Very highly recommended. What he went thru with his ex wife was crappy. It is understanding why he felt the way that he did about women. I still can't believe he had her car towed that was just mean. You could see the pull between the two of them right off the bat (lol). He had to find his way which took him time but was worth it in the end. I would love to see what the future holds for them.

Nic knocked this romance book right out of the ballpark. This book has everything you want in a romantic book. Great chemistry between the characters, perfect storyline and the ending takes this book to a whole other dimension. Nate20.5k 19
