So Disappointed

I am sorry I could only give this ??????. I have read every book in the PDA series since the first one, so that makes it quite a few years I have been reading books by this author. This one had a plot line that could have been so much more. Three quarters of this story revolves around the sexual relationship and acts. Don’t get me wrong I enjoy reading about the “spice” in a relationship, but the acts became the focus, they didn’t enhance the “love story” or the plot, they just took over. About one quarter of the book was devoted to the plot and character development, including the ending. The ending has no real closure, it just leaves you with a lot of questions such as: what happened to the witch? What happened to her parents after the arrest? Did her actions actually keep others from suffering the same fate her parent’s intended for her. Were there repercussions from the powerful community (fundamentalists) her father led and belonged to? These remarks are not meant to be snarky or mean, but if I am selling a product, I would want it to be the best it could be to ensure my livelihood or my own self satisfaction. Please take this review in the spirit it is meant in. A few of the last books were not of the same standard as earlier books. I have loved reading this series for years and almost gave up on them, but then one will be released that is back to being a well thought out and written book. Gerri, our ever loving matchmaker strikes again with another fated mate. I d our MCs, she was a non-believer but soon changed her mind when she met her fated mate. Kudos to our MMC, he really works fast, I can't stop myself from smiling when he went to see her. This is one story where the connection between mates is evident and proves to be useful for the MCs, but Of course, it is all with the help of our ever loving Gerri.
