Gerri's done it again, but this time it's a bit underhanded.

When Gerri's flying on a commercial airline, she has her eyes on the beautiful flight attendant, Mila. After that flight, Mila disembarkes from the plane and runs into her. Gerri invites Mila to lunch, where she offers her a job position with a billionaire polar shifter who needs someone to fly all over the country and be his personal assistant.

When Cyrus meets Mila, he's in shock: she's his fated mate. He also realizes because she's his mate, he knows that he can't work with her. Just being around her is distracting and he needs 100% of his time to keep working on a secret project that he's been researching since he was a teenager. Finding his parents. So he lets her think that they need to spend some time together to see if they are compatible and she ends up staying at his mansion for the weekend.

But when he finally tells her who she is to him, she doesn't know how to feel. She now knows that there's no job offer, yet his pledge of taking care of her for life was the wrong thing to say. When things get hot and heavy between them, Cyrus gets interrupted for something business related and walks away from Mila.

Terrible words were exchanged between the couple, and she decides to just leave. Cyrus thinks that aborting his lifelong project to focus on his future with Mila is the best way to go now. With that in mind he goes to her bedroom to apologize, only to find that she packed her bags and left without a word.

When he finally tracks her down via Gerri, she's at the hotel airport waiting for a flight the following day to get out of town. He knows how badly he's messed up with her, but he can't lose her. It would destroy him. When he arrives at her room, she can barely stand to be around him she's so mad and hurt by him, yet there's a part of her that misses him. She lost her trust in him and was ready to walk away without looking back; having him come see her was a mistake.

Cyrus tells her everything about his parents and his project, including going to look for missing artifacts that are very important to the Polar Bears. Then he tells her that he's no longer interested in going because he has her in his life and a future. She refuses to except that answer. Calling him a coward. She also doesn't want to be resented years later because he never went and did his search.

So he takes her with him and along the way trouble follows them.

Gerri strikes again when she matches human flight attendant Mila Dillion with tech billionaire and bear shifter Cyrus Bechtel. She is growing disillusioned with her job, not having had time off in months, and he needs a personal assistant since hisblast one quit. Gerri clues him in on who Mila is to him before introducing the two, then she hightails it out of there leaving the two to work it out. Cyrus is reluctant to hire Mila, fearing she will distract him from his important project, but he doesn't want his soul mate to leave either. Mila agrees to stay a few days while he considers her for the PA position but she has made sure not to quit her job while she waits.

Cyrus had been trying to find out what happened to his parents ever since they supposedly died in a plane crash fifteen years ago. Their bodies were never found and Cyrus is determined to locate them. He knows they were in the Arctic for a specific shifter related reason and has been searching for clues for years. His former assistant's sudden departure turns out to be related and when Cyrusc discovers his family was threatened, he fears for Mila's safety. But his mate is no coward and she insists they continue to investigate. Can he have it all? Closure on his parents' deaths and the love of his mate. Or is he destined to lose her, too?

Another great read from Milly! This is book 72 in the PDA series. Gerri is at it again working her magic finding fated mates. Mila is a flight attendant frustrated with her job. Gerri steps in and offers her a job as a personal assistant for a prominent figure in the tech industry. Cyrus is in the middle of a personal project when Gerri drops his mate on his doorstep. Now Cyrus has to figure out what's more important. His mate or the truth behind his parents death. Milly doesn't disappoint, she wrote another wonderful story. This story is part of a series but can be read as a standalone. The only thing is once you start this series you will keep coming back for more. Your on book 72 need I say more!!!

*POSSIBLE SPOILER*

I am a major fan of Milly Taiden's, and especially this series. Cyrus and Mila's journey to their HEA is not an easy one, it is full of danger as well as some communication issue. The plot is wonderful, mostly, and part of the plot is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. The most interesting part of the plot is Cyrus' search for what really happened to his parents. I was utterly disappointed in the very anti-climatic way that this plot point was wrapped up. I won't say anything more about that because I don't want to spoil anything for new readers. I still recommend that you read this book, and any others by Mrs. Taiden. Mature eyes only due to hot
