Sinopsis
Burke and Blade investigate their most personal case yet!
A ten-year-old cold case involving their missing sister.
On April 9, 2014, 21-year-old Kaylee Walsh, a University of Florida psychology student, lied to her professors about a family emergency and left campus without telling anyone. Later that night, on a flat stretch of rural road in Georgia, she ran off the highway into a ditch.
Then, with witnesses watching from a nearby farmhouse, in the span of some six minutes, she disappeared from the face of the earth without a trace, and has never been seen again. Since then, Kaylees disappearance has garnered worldwide exposure and is one of the most popular unsolved true crime cases in modern history.
Too young and inexperienced to solve the case when it happened, Burke and Blade, now experienced investigators, reopen their sisters case under the watchful eye of a true crime documentary crew.

With their characteristic tough and relentless style theyre going to risk everything to find out why Kaylee stepped out of her wrecked car and vanished forever...M.F

Once again, Michael Lister has penned a page turner that will have you on the edge of your seat - and grip your heartstrings. His latest in the Burke and Blade series is an entertaining and moving read for fans of mystery as well as those who enjoy a heartfelt story about unique characters overcoming their personal turmoil. 'Gone in the Night' introduces new, intriguing characters and reveals more about favorite characters from the series.
As is the case for each of his mysteries, this latest can be read as a standalone - but I highly recommend enjoying the entire series.must-read mystery Jim Phillips437 9
An excellent murder mystery thriller with a well written storyline and an outstanding cast of realistic characters. Contains plenty of action, suspense, multiple suspects, and a surprise ending. A page turning tale that I highly recommend. Michael Lister just keeps turning out high quality novels. Bring on the next adventure with the great duo of Burke and Blade. Ellen White7,590 43
I found this a gripping but sad case. For Blade and Burke it was. about love
and justice, not money, searching for answers on Kaylee's case.
A ten year story that unfolds as I read, the heartfelt emotion of them wanting to bring her home, and them a peace of now knowing. A great series by the author that I found captivating and I recommend reading. Jackie11.4k 167

Persistence, driven by love, honor and justice, finds its way
Ten years after the most devasting events of Burke and Blade's livesa two-fold crisis that saw not only their foster sister go missing, but also their reinsertion into the gruesomeness of the foster systeman opportunity is presented to fund a full-time investigation to truly and deeply delve into Kaylee Walshs confounding disappearance. Fraught with suspects and misinformation, plus lack of witnesses or interest by investigators and law enforcement, the case had languished for a decade. Oh sure, Burke and Blade had asked questions and tried to recreate what seemed a non-existent trail, but their means did not afford them the resources or availability to pursue the case as theyd or it deserved.
Author Lister has again created a masterpiece story with real and flawed characters, twists and turns, and a killer surprise ending (pun intended). A superb, standalone story that is enriched by having read the series. Highly recommended.
