Who doesn’t love a Christmas story right! I loved Michael’s previous books (7 1/2 reasons why I hate this world and the Devils Replacement). Michael’s writing is humorous and he writes believable characters that I genuinely root for, this new book is no exception.

A Christmas Coral (I see what he did there) starts with Coral Bleek, the judgemental and nasty resident of werrington village. Coral loves nothing more than wreaking havoc on the locals and, let’s face it, we’ve probably all met one of these people in our lifetimes. I instantly disd this woman but also wondered why she was this way.

We are introduced to the main character, Aiden, a able guy with a big heart who is (sadly) dating Corals daughter (I mean I’m sure she’s lovely, her mum not so much!)

When Corals attempt to end the relationship work, Aiden hatches a plan with this friends, Jane and Paul, to really teach Coral a lesson. Does it work? You’ll have to read the book! Lovable characters from previous books make a return and I loved how this story interlinked and extended the narrative. Genuine laugh out loud moments and a story that warms even the coldest of winter hearts. This would make a great stocking present and I’m hoping it’s not Michael’s last Christmas story, it certainly made me smile, even if the donkey can’t make a return!
