Gertie is a retired best selling author who is tired of the overblown Christmases in her hometown. Her best friend and former agent calls her up and convinces her to visit her and possibly write a new story. The town boasts a forest that warns of monsters which inspires Gertie. She goes out hiking in the forest to get inspiration but snow starts to fall. She trips in the snow and can't walk and loses consciousness. She wakes up in a strange cabin in the woods surrounded by three hot men who are young enough to be her grandsons or so she thinks. They even claim to be a wolf shifter, bear shifter and a dragon shifter and declare that she is their mate. Gertie has problems believing it until she watches herself get younger and younger.

Samuel, Henry, and Benjamin are shifters who have lived isolated for hundreds of years. They have gotten really lonely and bored. Then when the dragon shifter learns of the monster sign put up by his friend, he flies out to take it down. He is shocked to find the scent of his mate. He finds Gertie lying unconscious and half frozen and brings her back to their cabin. Samuel, Henry, and Benjamin discover that she is their fated mate and know that they have to turn her if they don't want to lose her because she is dying from exposure. When she wakes up, they have a hard time convincing her that she is meant to be theirs.

I LOVE this book! Cheers to the Christmas cheer in this HILARIOUS short story. It's a fantasy, reverse harem romance with lots of wintry wonders. It includes sweet and spicy scenes between the female main character and three males. There's a sleigh full of over the top, fast-burn romance as well as a whole lot of fun banter.

Tropey goodness includes: forced proximity (aka "we're snowed in"), reverse age gap, age gap, shapeshifter's fated mate, beauty and the beasts, and discovering the magic of Xmas.

It's all wrapped up in a well-stuffed (and hung) stocking of epic proportions! There's a dragon, a wolf, and a bear shifter so I'm pretty sure they wear big socks.

I want to be Gertie when I reach my seventies! She's mature, funny, and confident throughout this rollicking romp. I how she takes everything in stride and goes with the flow. The men are interesting, too! Each one of them has a funny line or two, and I'm thirsty for more.

Granny's Christmas Shifters (Paranormal Golden Years:Christmas Book 1) by Mia Harlan is a short and sweet holiday why-choose paranormal romance.  Gertrude Keene a retired author up in age  agrees to write one more horror story.  However while researching she is injured.  Luckily a pack of shifters live in the woods and find her.  Will they be able to save her and get their HEA?

      This was a fun read that provided lots of laughs.  I loved the characters.  Immortal shifters with 3 very different personalities provided lots of laughs.  Granny isn't a typical Granny and Her confusion of what's happened to her kept the giggles coming.  I absolutely loved that the men were attracted to her as a much older “looking” woman since they are actually much older than her.  This story reminds readers that you're never too old for love and often age doesn't matter. 

     If you enjoy unique stories that break stereotypes you will enjoy this one. If paranormal reverse harems with shifters, fated mates, and comedy are your thing you must read Granny's Christmas Shifters by Mia Harlan. Julorie Siefert166

Now you all know the story of wolf and granny(well OK maybe little Red Riding Hood gezz rolling eyes), well this story is of granny, Henry, the bear, Benjamin, the dragon, and OK Samuel, the wolf. On the way to get an idea of a story line for her 25th book in the woods, Gertie slips and falls and is unconscious when the dragon, Benjamin finds her. Gertie at 73 is very cold and they are not sure that she is going to make it, Benjamin flies her to the cabin and tries to warm her up. The pack, Henry, Benjamin and Samuel, the wolf all agree to turn her in to a shifter to save her life. Sometimes you want a really fun and silly story with festive themes and one that you can power through in a matter of hours. It might not be something you want all the time, but when you do, Granny's Christmas Shifters is for you.
This is a ridiculous book, but that's its joy. Grab a roll of wrapping paper, head to your room and say you can't be disturbed, shut the door, and then curl up with this book. It will banish all the stress of the season, at least for a little while.

I can't tell if this was a joke book, because of the cover, but the writing isn't bad. It feels more a fanfiction and the name of the main character really gives it that grandma vibe. It's an interesting storyline for sure. J3,049 14

Harlan delights in this Christmas paranormal read. Give me Granny's and give me shifters - throw in the Christmas season and what promises to be amazing, witty characters and fun, captivating storyline and some sweet and steamy romance too and it's a recipe for success and a 5-star review from me! I knew this book of Harman's would be one that I had to have, and I was right! Our main character Gertrude is a grinchy grandma, but she still has plenty of sass and spunk. I absolutely adored her and her character growth. Short but full of everything I'd want! I can't get enough of this humor!

Gertie is in her golden years, a retired author visiting her former agent. One winter walk in the forest and a bump on the head later and she’s surrounded by three handsome young men, two-thirds of whom are naked! Gertie (Granny) is a retired horror writer and her former agent entices her out of retirement to do just "one more story". Walking in the forest to get a sense for the location, Gertie falls in the snowstorm, passes out and wakes up in the arms of 3 hot shifters!

Mia never fails to tickle my funny bone with her characters. Gertrude is amazing when she trips and knocks her self unconscious she is found by a Dragon shifter named Benjamin who then proceeds to take her home with him. He lives with two other shifters Bear aka Henry and Wolf aka Samuel. Gertie is their mate so they change her. She has me cackling so hard after she wakes up. Not a bad Novella. I haven't read another other shifter stories from this author. Gertie, a horror author, goes off to the forest for ideas for her next story. She has an accident. Dragon finds her and realises to ensure that she survives they must turn her. There 's lots of sex and descriptions of male members!

This is a funny, quick-witted, and quick holiday romance. Granny is a hoot and her shifters are great. If you're looking for a long read this isn't it but if you want a short but moderately steamy book go for it!
