Sinopsis

It’s the end of the world as she knew it, but Harper Cody feels fine.

Mostly.

Surviving after nuclear bombardment isn’t all bad. Alarm clocks aren’t a thing anymore. No one gets stuck in traffic on their way to a soul-draining nine-to-five, their food’s not full of sugar and preservatives, and she got out of having to take the SATs. Constant hypervigilance, having to carry a gun everywhere she goes, and the fear that any small injury could turn fatal is a small price to pay.

While Evergreen has become an oasis of sanity in a fractured world, it’s not without problems. Danger is out there, watching and waiting for the perfect time to strike. Idiots and gangs, she can handle, but not everything that can kill her is so obvious.

The deadliest hazards can’t be seen at all—and one of them is much closer than she imagined.

Threat Unseen

Another exciting installment to this series that has Harper and her family facing new threats that could spell more trouble in this already hard to survive dystopian world.2 s Lady1,178 11

Death Lurking Unseen

This series must be read in order. This is the seventh book. I can't wait to read more!

Harper is almost nineteen. Her sister Madison is almost back to her pre war self... Or as close as she can be given the new world they live in. Their little chosen family is doing well, including the twins. It's been too normal... What is going to go wrong next? An attack by the Lawless? Some other crazed or crazy group? Will life ever be anywhere near normal again? Or are they destined not live in a Wild West come again scenario? Robert Meyers11 1 follower

Simple life isn't simple post apocalypse

This series is interesting. It feels a cross between a horror story and a survivalist reality show. That sounds weird right? Well post apocalypse life is what this story is . Just day to day with drama you expect from characters growing up in utterly horrible times.

This feels books written a hundred years ago that just covered someone's life. Well written and insightful. But filled with drama and more or less real life.

Can't wait for the next one. Laura495 2

I was so excited to find another book in the Evergreen series, I've enjoyed all of the others and I was not disappointed in this one. Matthew Cox brings the story to life in such a way that you believe what is happening as if your right there along side with Harper. They've gone thru so much over the years, lost friends and family, and faced dangers a person should never have to go thru. But will life be safe , what about those that want what they have. What will they have to do if that happens? This series needs to be read in order, Chuck Woodbury250

Love checking in on Harper and Co…

It’s been two years since the bombs fell fell and life in Evergreen is finally becoming routine. Harper faces down some old demons and discovers new threat’s. Love Matthew’s take on post apocalyptic America. I would love to see what up in 5 or 10 years. Breen1,393

“I’ve lost count of all the post apocalypse series I’ve watch and this book is exactly that! Surviving the end of the world was just the first part, stepping into a new world with unseen threats surely is a heart racing situation. Not the kind of story I’m used to but will definitely have you on the edge.” Andrea Payne668 4

The plot was right!

So excited to be able to delve into Harper's world without the annoyance of inconsistency or the plot/story line. While still a little rambly for me, it was a great read! Nikki Bao549 4

After the nuclear bombs exploded, Evergreen is where survivors in Colorado are living. There are still dangers with wild gangs and others. Carrying a gun isn't so bad. Just hope you don't get sick or injured because there're no hospitals. What if some dangers aren't human or bug? Lori Hammons2,439 19

A month in the life of a young adult surviving nuclear war. There's never a dull moment, lots of action, danger, and suspense. There's also some fun, happy, and quiet moments. I enjoyed this look at what life might be in post-nuclear bomb life. doreen895 2

FYI - this is a never ending series. Its the same thing only a different day. I can't read anymore. For me this is boring series. I thought Cliff was interesting in the beginning but now he is a after thought character. Dave HigginsAuthor 28 books52
