A great compilation of some of Madeline’s best books .
I’ve read all of these books singularly, so I can tell you just how good they are , she brings out emotions in the reader because her story lines are so descriptive ,and her characters are endearing beyond belief.

This is a great collection of novellas - exciting, steamy and just a touch of paranormal!

A Ghostly Tale of Forbidden Love - 5 stars - Gavin and Senara are a charming couple. Gavin is the laird of Castle of Park and Senara has just been hired to be a lady's maid to his vile aunt. These two dance around each other for months and when tragedy strikes, they become closer.

Just when happiness seems to be within reach, the aunt interferes and their newfound love is threatened. But thanks to a ghost with a taste for vengeance - these two are able to have their well deserved HEA.

I originally read this novella in the anthology Once Upon a Haunted Castle and it was by far my favorite story in the anthology - it is fast paced, has steamy love scenes and an incredible hero - Loved Gavin!

The Madam's Highlander - 5 stars - Ewan Fraser is a member of the Black Watch, he joined in hopes of redeeming his honor after his father was hung as a traitor.

Freya is the owner of a brothel and loathes the English and the Black Watch - so when Ewan asks Freya for help - she refuses.

Desperate to save his mother he does the only thing he can - he threatens hers! Furious Freya has no choice but to agree.

When she goes to his home and finds it burned and his mother hiding from the Redcoats, she takes his mother to her home. When Ewan learns of her fate, he renounces his service to the Black Watch and becomes a fugitive. Freya agrees to take him to his mother. When they arrive at her home they are confronted with an English solider and Freya tells him Ewan is her husband.

These two slowly form a bond and fall in love. When Ewan is discovered and all hell breaks loose - he sacrifices his freedom to save the woman he loves. It seems all hope is lost and months pass without word of his fate. I don't know how she did it - but Ms. Martin turned it all around in the last chapter and accomplished what seemed impossible just a few pages before - a touching and believable HEA!

The Highlander's Untamed Lady - 5 stars - Evander's people are starving so he accepts a bride from England sight unseen as her father has offered him an outrageous dowry to marry her. Diana has been imprisoned by her father for refusing to marry, she manages to escape only to be chased by Evander. He catches up with her in the cave at St. Agnes and tells her that they are to marry and return to Scotland. She of course refuses, leaving Evander no choice but to drug her (and her two pet wolves).

They travel back to Scotland and Diana begins to realize how wrong she was about Evander. They marry as soon as they reach his castle, but Diana is not ready to share all her secrets with Evander and tries to keep him at arms length, but the more she gets to know him, the more she admires him. Once Diana admits to herself, that she is in love with him, she takes the ultimate leap of faith and shares her darkest secret. Evander is all you could want in a hero - I loved him!

But just as it seems these two are destined for a HEA, when an unexpected twist threatens to tear them apart.

A Ghostly Tale Of Forbidden Love:

5 Stars for Madeline Martin!! This novella was so good I read it in one sitting. If you have not read one of her books you are truly missing out! She has a way of making her character come alive with Gavin, Senara, Edana, a ghost named Balthasar and even the horse named Norbert.

Gavin only gave his first name when meeting Senara for the first time on their way of Castle of Park. Senara is going there to be the wicked Aunt Edana maid as Gavin is the Laird. Can Gavin keep his promise to his father to watch over Aunt Edana? Can Senara help Balthasar find peace? Can Gavin and Sarana find each other? So go back in time to 1604 Banff Scotland and read this wonderful story.




The Madam’s Highlander:

Madeline Martin’s writing keeps getting better and better, not that I thought that was even possible as her prior books are amazing. The storyline was wonderful and the visual was so descriptive I could just picture it all in my mind. The Madam’s Highlander has ambitions, pride, kindness, a love for family and a trust that is put to the test, hard work, desertion, traitors, evil, rape, battle and duty, even a brothel, in other words it has it all. I highly recommend this Novella as you won’t be disappointed. So travel back in time to 1746 Edinburgh, Scotland to Molly’s Brothel with Ewan and Freya on an adventure no other.



Highlander’s Untamed:

Another great by Madeline Martin. Madeline’s writing is just amazing and her stories are so original. The Highlander’s Untamed Lady, book 3 in the Highland Passions series, is no exception. What so intrigues me in this story is the use of 2 wolfs and her descriptions are so clear I can picture them both in my mind. This wonderful story is both exciting and sad at the same time and I love her use of strong women figures. I just loved how feisty Lady Diana Stuart is and the kind and understanding Evander MacKenzie. I cannot say enough about this book! This story has escape, abduction, forced marriage, kindness, cruelty, abuse, starvation, patience, understanding, trust, a fight, pain, rape shame, love and so much more. You must read this book if you are me and love historical highland romances.

I have read two of these stories individually and I'm looking forward to reading the third one. These are amazing stories from an amazing author! Here are my of the two already read books:
THE MADAM'S HIGHLANDER
OMG! What an incredible book. At times it was heart-breaking. At others it was uplifting. You can't help but fall in love with the characters. They have depth and their stories pull you in and don't let you go. The history of the English dominating the Scottish people and how they crush any resistance was the most heart-breaking account I ever read. I have never cried reading a book but this one made me bawl. Thank you, Ms. Martin, for writing such an incredible book! This book was gifted to me and I voluntarily reviewed it.
THE HIGHLANDER'S UNTAMED LADY
This book is extremely well written and very emotional. The story sucked me in right from the start in a way I haven't been sucked in in a long time. The hero and heroine have such compassion and are so well written that you just can't stop wishing for their happy ending. The historical facts are so detailed that I couldn't get enough of it. If there had been a higher rating than five stars - this book would have gotten it! I highly recommend this book to all historical romance lovers! An amazing collection of three stories of the Highland Passions series by the wonderful Madeline Martin. Full of highlander's, strong women and the road to their happy ever after.

A Ghostly Tale of Forbidden Love - On her journey to work as a lady's maid to Lady Edana at the Castle of the Park, Senara is sets upon by brigands and saved by Laird Gavin MacDuff. She finds out that her employer is his aunt. As emotions come into play for the two of them, an unearthly spirit seems to invade Senera that brings up a lot of old secrets that cannot be ignored. A must read!

The Madam's Highlander - People are not always as they seem and such is the case for Freya who runs a bawdy house. Captain Ewan Fraser is out to try to make up for past wrongs done by his father and seeks her help. A journey of two people brought together that seem to be meant for each other!

The Highlander's Untamed Lady - an emotional story that won my heart with two characters that found each other by circumstances. A journey that will keep you thinking about this book long after you turn the last page.

I had read each of these as a stand alone but together they are outstanding!

Madeline Martin doesn't dissappoint in this Ghostly Tale!

Hoping to ease the financial burden of her family, Senara takes a position as a ladies maid at Castle Park. She has no desire to marry, only to save enough money to buy her young brother a knighthood... She's an honorable sister and daughter, always putting family before herself. But Senara gets more than she bargained for when she sees how difficult her new employer truly is... then there's the hunky Laird. Gavin made a deathbed promise to his father that he would care for his aunt and let her live out the rest of her days in the castle. This is something that Gavin regrets every day. But when the new maid arrives and awakens unknown passions it's a recipe for entertainment to say the least!
