I have loved many books by M.A. Innes, but some of them focus too much on talking and communication.

Now don't get me wrong, I am all for good, open communication, but not every single thing needs to be explained. I it when there's more show and not as much tell. It's constantly explaining a joke as if no one else will get it if you don't explain it.

I really hate to DNF a book, but I just didn’t this one at all.

This book is way too insta love for me. I get that they’ve been low key pining for each other over the past year or so, but they haven’t had any direct conversation.
Ross completely corners Sidney about a gift that’s slightly inappropriate and forward. I understand that he knew for sure about Sidney being little, but still. Also he basically gave him no chance to digest information and just pushed him to go on a date. Then after the date they’re already this intimate and the next morning he already knows that he doesn’t cream filled donuts and pepperoni and anchovies? Did this come from his secretary or did they talk about it at dinner? It was just too much.
I know that usually in this kind of dynamic it’s an all or nothing situation in books, but at the same time it seems a little too physical for the type of relationship it is.
Also, I know Doms/Daddy’s aren’t perfect themselves, but he was talking about how if he was starting to work fir himself he would have a hard time staying motivated and getting things done right but he’s already working out a plan for Sidney? I just hate the idea that if you would struggle with it also that you’d so heavily push your influence and ideas on someone else that quickly when you don’t even know them even if you are a Dom. He also says he’s never been a Daddy before but is coming on pretty strong. Idk, just didn’t sit right with me. 4 s Denise H.3,064 249

I just adore reading about characters who live their truth and M.A. Innes writes one of the best tales about littles in Sidney, in this year’s Christmas story, Best Present Ever?.

I really enjoyed how this story just flows without any huge drama and with plenty of sweet moments. Sidney’s passion for stickers is simply adorable and a wonderfully different twist on the enjoyments of a little. Ross epitomises a good Daddy by paying attention and providing what Sidney needs without a lot of over-explanation – showing the whole relationship develop seamlessly and naturally.

The festive elements of this story weave into the developing connection, giving the whole book a seasonal feel. From the very beginning, where there’s a Secret Santa gift, to the  decoration of the tree, this is a great book to get readers in the Christmas spirit!

This was a short quick read that just ok for me. Sidney left his job just after getting his Secret Santa gift he surprise when it contains things for a little. Ross knew he was a little he also knew as long as Sidney worked for the company he was off limits. I think for me it was too fluffy and I wanted a little drama. Super OTT sweet sticker-loving-little and his past co-worker Daddy. I enjoyed their story and how they started out together, but some of it felt a little weird, especially when the Daddy knew so many private things about his boy because he had his secretary ask weird questions? Sidney's last day at his job coincides with getting his last gift from his secret Santa. When he opens the present, he is horrified that someone at this job has figured out his secret, but they had gone to great lengths to protect his identity, so he is also intrigued by who it could be. Ross was forced to stop being subtle about his interest in Sidney, so he hopes that showing he isn't afraid or scared by Sidney's secret will help show that he is interested without being scared away.

I absolutely loved the dynamic between Sidney and Ross, they were great together and worked to understand and better each other. Once they realized that they both had the same interest, things went pretty quickly. It was super sweet and while there was a lot of dialogue between the two characters, I felt it was needed at time, just to make sure they were on the same page.21-bingo christmas gblt ...more1 Whitney509 26

3.5 stars; it's cute but that's it

Once upon a time I was a massive fan of this author and you are, I get it. The writing is easy, the story is cute, and who doesn't love a happy Daddy/ little story? Apparently me.

I didn't hate this book, obviously. But aside from being cute they're just wasn't much else here for me. There wasn't conflict of any kind and I think it's entirely possible to tell a fluffy story and still have conflict. That's how you keep people engaged and create a situation in which we care about these characters and they're coupling. But that wasn't here. It was they went on a date and now the next five chapters are going to focus on them touching and occasionally talking while touching. Not every story needs to be fast-paced and dynamic but it at least needs to be interesting. This... wasn't

Ultimately I think the reason why I moved on from this author is the pacing of their books is pretty bad. I don't think spending three chapters on one single smut scene is a good use of time in a book that is just over 130 pages. it is so glacier slow you almost forget smut is going on or that anything is happening really. I think spending less time in Sydney and Ross's head and more time in scene with them would have fixed a lot of these issues. And I know this author can do it because they definitely have books where they've done it. The book that is teased at the end of this one I stand by my five stars. That one you should definitely check out.

If you cute easy fluff, great. You're going to love this and walk away with so many cavities. But for me am I perfect teeth, cute just isn't enough anymore, and for that reason I'm giving it 3.5 stars Kindle Addict426 5

I discovered this title because it was free. It was good but easy to forget and had some issues here and there:

- a lot of people said it’s 0 drama and very very sweet, a bit too much perhaps (and that’s usually my jam) Very insta love and “I love you” every 10 seconds

- the plot was sweet but the Daddy might have been a bit too much with his stalking…
