I didn’t know where this book was going and you want either until the end. There are some twists that tug at your heart. Enjoyed this book. 4 s Janet S66

The latest instalment in the DI Sally Parker series and my goodness this book doesn’t disappoint.

When remains are found by a young couple the cold case team are brought in to investigate. With not much to go on Sally and the team manage to discover the identity of the woman and set about reinterviewing family and friends, to determine what happened. The investigation is then thrown into turmoil when Jack, Sallys trusted partner, is in an accident. Will he make it? In the meantime Lorne steps in and what a team they make. As if trying to solve the cold case wasn’t enough they really have their work cut out when the victims family and friends start being attacked.

A real whirlwind of a story, total page turner. I really don’t know how this author comes up with so many brilliant storylines but I’m so glad she does.

The best yet! Really recommend, can’t wait for the next.2 s Livia416 6

Well... here we are at book 9 and, what can I say that I haven't already said about both this series and indeed the author? One thing that I can definitely say, and which is proved in this book, is that the author is not afraid to go in hard to keep a series fresh. Something that I always feel when a series is rolling on and needs something to mix it all up a bit... but what she does, I will leave you to find out yourself...
So... we start with a couple and a derelict house. An outing that ends with a floor collapse, a skeleton and a rather shocked young man. The state of the remains means that it falls under the remit of the cold case team, headed up by DI Sally Parker. First thing on the agenda is to identify the remains...
I love this author. I love this series. And I love it even more now that Lorne has joined it. I've been with the author since pretty much the beginning which means that I have been in at the publication of each new book rather than having to play catch-up so I do pity those who have come in late but, on the other hand, just look at all the cracking reads to add to your TBR so you can start from the beginning and read in order.
As with every book I have read from the author, this book ticks every box I need for a good book to be a great read. With the added emotional shock. Characters are well drawn, both series and episode, main and bit-part. The story is both interesting and intriguing and gripped me from the start. Culminating in a shocking climax. And all delivered without any superfluous waffle or padding. It really is the real deal... Only thing left is to wonder which of her cracking characters will get their turn to speak next? Sally and her team are really feeling the strain with their new case with a body that has been left unfound for six years. It is almost a cold case as they don’t have a lot to go on and are coming up empty handed everywhere they turn when it comes to who the killer is. However, as they do start uncover information, things become a lot more dangerous.

Due to some unexpected events, it puts the team even more under pressure as well as things becoming dangerous. Along with this, the author manages to weave in some topics such as depression and menopause which was great to see as I think more needs to be highlighted that for a lot of people, they live with this daily and how it affects their lives.

Where Did She Go? by M.A. Comley is the ninth book in the DI Sally Parker series and my new favourite. It’s packed full of tension but not all from the way you would expect. As well as being highly suspenseful, it turned out to be quite the emotional roller coaster of a read which was very unexpected but made this story even more standout. This is one author who always has her readers coming back for more!

My thanks to the author for an advanced readers copy of this book. All opinions are my own and not biased in anyway.fiction1 Rachel Gilbey2,977 541

The more I read of the DI Sally Parker series, the more I want to read. I absolutely love delving into cold cases alongside Sally and her team.

It's a completely different side of policing, but still incredibly important to try to give people closure many years on.

I had absolutely no idea where this story was going to take us, and although I did have a suspicion as to the killer, I definitely hadn't guessed any motives, nor was I convinced that I would be correct.

I loved seeing how the team dealt with this case, while at the same time I think I at times far more interested in the storyline involving one of the other members of the team and was what kept pulling my attention back to the book despite knowing I should have been working.

I couldn't read this book fast enough, I am once again completely in awe of this author's abilities. Just fabulous.

Thank you to the author for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily. 2 s Su Biela72 1 follower

Where did she go?

Urban explorer Ben discovered a skeleton in an abandoned house bringing DI Sally Parker and her team another cold case to investigate. The body turns out to be Dana Caldwell who went missing after a night out six years ago.
When Sallys partner Jack is involving a horrific car accident leaving him in ICU she has to team up with her old friend Lorne. Things so from bad to worse when witnesses start being attacked and threatened. Can Sally and Lorne find out who killed Dana all those years ago? And how will Jacks recovery go??
Another fabulous book from MA Comley. Shirley Cooper17

Would not have guessed Maria.

Poor Sally!! So sad Jack is hanging up his hand cuffs. But he’s right. He has a long way for recovery. He has a terrific Wife, Donna and beautiful daughters to spoil him when he returns home. Loren and Sally are both very good friends and work great together. So happy everything turned out great. Liz had to been scared out of her wits! But the other coppers showed up just in time. Great book Mel. Waiting for Sinner to arrive at Amazon. I’ve read several books from other DI stories of yours. Your my only Author I love most! Cheers to You Mel!! Terry 797 28

An attempt at romance by a young lad wanting to get further with his girlfriend ends up in a corpse being found in a derelict house.
Now the id and the cause of death has to be found.
A case and a half.
As always excellent book & series is wonderful.
This author just gets it & knows how to keep us readers hanging on for more. K-BRC995

Joining the main characters from two separate is a challenge, but is it a good idea? In this case, it was a brilliant idea. I Jack, Sally’s current partner, but I have an affinity for inspector Lorne Warner from the Justice series. Having her join Sally brought strength and support to a cold cruel crime’s investigation. I highly recommend this book! kenneth Fowler161

Many emotions felt throughout the read and signs of changes to come.

When a young lad takes his girlfriend to a deserted house to ‘further’ their relationship, he’s in for a shock when he finds a corpse in a bed.

DI Sally Parker and Jack attend the scene but all they can find out is the victim has been there for six or so years. Sally gets the team looking at missing persons in the hope of finding out who the victim is.

With Lorne having some problems & major goings on for Jack, this makes for an intriguing read. As with all this authors books, I couldn’t put it down and enjoyed reading all the goings-on.

Mental health issues are featured in this story and the author writes about them sensitively and with a lot of care.

It’s wonderful to have Sally, Jack and Lorne back in this latest book by the author. Felicity Gray1211 7
