THE WOLFGANG PIERCE SERIES
Good story lines, good characters and plenty of action with good dialog and some humor. There are parts of hollywood influence and some boring bits. Source: Ryles' ARC team.

That Time in Appalachia, prequel - An intense, riveting story about the two days before his fifteenth birthday that changes Pierce's life forever. Recommend read first. 5*
That Time in Paris, #1 - After working for SPIRE for three years, Wolfgang is working with Edrick now and becomes part of the elite Charlie Team. Pretty neat trick how Wolf stopped a merger. 4*
That Time in Cairo, #2 - Picks up four months after Paris ends. I was a bit bored with this story. It was too much hollywood for me, but what they found was interesting in several points. 3*
That Time in Moscow, #3 - Pick ups one month after Cairo. Interesting confrontation with a Russian W met in Paris. W is showing more of his insubordination, his inexperience, which of course, moves the story forward. 4*
That Time in Rio, #4 - Picks up exactly where Moscow ends. Plenty of action. 4*
That Time in Tokyo, #5 - Picks up three months after Rio. Boring beginning and gets worse. Quit at near end of chapter eight. Megan should not have been in Tokyo. She is a disruptive force on the team; there is no team now, lovesick sap or protective brother behavior do not have a place here. 1*
That Time in Sydney, #6 - Intense with a lot of happenings. Several characters from the past return. 5*
That Time in Bangkok, #7 - Cliffhanger. It's 2013 and Wolf is down and out. The Director shows up with a job. Interesting, intense and plenty of action and a determination to succeed made this a quickly read story. 4* John1,228 6

I received an ARC and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

The story begins with Wolf having a nightmare about Megan a former team member who was killed as well as other members of team Charlie. As a result of Wolf's last mission, he has become depressed and living day. He goes shopping to get food and when he arrives home, he discovers that someone is there and takes defensive actions until he discovers who it is. He has not seen this person in quite a while. This person has come to ask a favor. He wants Wolf to travel to Bangkok to check on a boy, Timothy Beckworth, who has not been heard of for several days.

Wolf finally agrees and flies to Bangkok and goes to the hotel where Timothy was staying. Upon arriving he discovers that Timothy left several days earlier. Wolf learns later that Timothy has been abducted. Wolf eventually discovers where Timothy was taken and goes to rescue him. Wolf finds Timothy and they both leave. Wolf's action cause reactions that force them to flee. Along the way, Wolf loses Timothy and has to find him once more. Wolf once again finds Timothy and the chase is on once more. Wolf finally gets to the airport where he has a decision to make.

To discover what obstacles Wolf had to overcome to rescue Timothy, who was chasing him and what decision Wolf made at the airport, then you need to read this book. Once you start, you won't want to put it down. Tom35

A fast paced, non-stop adventure for Wolfgang Pierce. After losing the love of his life on his last mission, Wolfgang isn't finding life worth living. When the former agency Director shows up at his trailer's doorstep with what sounds a simple person rescue from Bangkok, he grudgingly gives in and agrees only for the money. Once he gets to Bangkok, though, he finds this mission way more than he bargained for and the wild ride begins!

Ending on a cliffhanger, Ryles leaves us waiting anxiously for Wolfgang's next adventure. Highly recommended! Neelabh Pratap SinghAuthor 33 books26

"That Time in Bangkok" by Logan Ryles is a gripping sequel to "That Time in Sydney." Protagonist Wolfgang Pierce, shattered by loss, accepts a CIA mission in Bangkok, thrusting him into the city's red light districts and a clash with Thai gangsters. The book offers non-stop action but lacks depth in its storyline. The narrative's abrupt end leaves readers hanging, making it a short, fast-paced, single-sitting read that compels you to reach for the next installment. Jeff Benham1,466 7

This will be a very short review, otherwise there would be too much chance of spoilers. Please do not read this book if you have not at least read That Time In Sydney. Hopefully, though you have read all 6. That was supposed to be the end, but fans wanted more. We got more. Suffice it to say, the book is loaded with action. John Craig3

for a book that started off slow, it sure got fast in a hurry. The action is straight forward and non-stop with you wondering about the foe's offensic resources. This is thriller based on some of the worst of human treatment of others. An easy read that will keep you glued to the pages until you have finished it. 5 stars easy. john alder287 2

Five Stars

Wow, Wolfgang is back! Absolutely non stop action, I just could not put the book down. Well done to the author Logan Ryles for resurrecting this great character. The book ended on me wanting more. A well deserved 5 stars ?? ?? ?? ?? ?? Jim Cerone The Perfect Host DJ MC285 5

Slipping

Ryles certainly squeezes a lot of action into this novella, but there’s also a change in tone in this book. A callous disregard for human life in a few scenes really took me out of the story. And the ending? Well, I won’t ruin it for you… Janie Perdue121
