I'm a sucker for a fairytale retelling and then to make it into a reverse harem, I'm a goner for sure. However, never in all my reading have I ever come across a Three Little Pigs retelling so when I stumble across Her Alphas my interest was most definitely piqued.


That being said, I wished I d it more. The story was very character based and I couldn't connect with the characters. I didn't the MFC. Stephanie is a manipulative spoiled brat, she's a party girl who doesn't understand the consequences of her actions which is weird because I didn't peg her for stupid. Also, a lot of her actions didn't make any sense.


As for the guys I was indifferent. I didn't hate them but nothing about them called to me either. I also feel as if they had blinders on when it came to Stephanie and not in a good way. They made up good attributes that did not compute with the way her personality came off. Plus the whole relationship between them felt off.


However, the bones of the story were good. Set in the magical town of Fairy Falls just outside New Orleans, seems it would have been a great opportunity to world-build, I would have loved a little more info about this place. The history between the wolves and the vamps has all kinds of potential, then add in family drama, a Gothic feel, and a mysterious big bad (and I don't mean Stephanie, you have to read it), and it could have been great and I did enjoy the fairytale similarities that I notice. Plus there were a few plot twists that made a hundred-and-one questions run through my head.


Her Alphas was a creative version of the Three Little Pigs. I commend Liz Gavin for tackling a lesser fairytale. It might not have been for me but it was unique and if you fairytale retelling then you might want to try it for yourself.

I immediately fell in love with each and every character as well as the book in general. I cannot wait to see what will happen next. I would love to see what really happened with Grandpa and Phil. It should be interesting to see what is going to happen with everything and how everything will play out in the end. You could feel the sexual tension right off with Steph and all of the guys. The sexy times really blew everything right out of the water.

Interesting 4 stars. - Interesting paranormal story about a werewolf and her mates who happen to be witches. Steph is the reluctant alpha daughter who didn’t want to grow up and be in charge of their pack and werewolf community. Duncan, Alex and David are the humans her father hired as security. There were a lot of the background plot unresolved. The romance story between the four characters is steamy. I just feel it’s hard to connect with Steph as a person.I received an advanced copy and voluntarily chose to review it.

Her Alphas is a reverse harem with a Three Little Pigs twist. Stephanie is a werewolf shifter who doesn't playing by daddy's rules. Duncan, David, and Alex are witches and are all crushing after Steph. When danger comes things take an ott protective turn. This is a steamy paranormal, reverse harem with fairy tale twists and turns. The writing is well done, the characters are well developed and the story is entertaining.
