I won this book in a Goodreads Giveaway. I really d this book. A different Story plot for sure. A very good thriller/suspense novel. A woman has amnesia after a terrible career accident. She goes by the name "Kay Smith" but she's sure that's not her name. She was in a coma for two days and upon waking can't remember her past at all. Suddenly a handsome well dressed gentleman starts visiting her. He says he is visiting the girl next door still in a coma. But Kay senses that she knows him and knows him well. After dreaming a couple of times she keeps seeing women getting murdered and one of them looks her a lot. She keeps feeling a sense of danger, her mind keeps telling her to stay hidden. As snippets keep returning she just knows her gut she is in danger from a hitman. Kay and the handsome stranger escape and go into hiding while she trys to regain her memory and why someone wants her dead. Why is someone trying to kill her, did she see or know something she's not supposed to. With time being of the essence will she remember her past in time to save her life or will the hitman find her and finish the job he started? Very well written, exciting and I couldn't put it down. I just needed to know what happened next. A very good read I highly recommend. This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.Show full reviewgoodreads-giveaway-books14 s Sherry Fundin2,023 142

Wow…what an amazing cover. Look at it closely. I love it. And, I love books that have a severe weather event. We are on the road in Virginia and a blizzard is headed Kay’s way. She must get home. She will be better there. The headlights blaze through the rear view window, gaining on her, and…..

She wakes with a name, Kay Smith, but no memory.

I am cynical and immediately suspicious of everyone around her. The doctor, the nurses and the guy who visits the comatose woman in the bed next to hers. Lest She Forget is a romantic suspense novel, so….is he the villain or the hero? They chat, and seeing she is alone, he leaves her his number. I have a feeling she will be using it…soon.

Kay could leave her past behind. Start over. But, we all know the past always catches up to us. Just because you’re paranoid, it doesn’t mean that people aren’t out to get you. She definitely needs to keep that paranoia alive. She is being hunted….again. By who? And why?

As she does her research, a sympathetic hospital clerk shows her concern by sharing all the information she can find about ‘Erin Johnson’. Her research leads her to Nick Costa, the mysterious visitor.

About halfway through, the tension rises and keeps building. The chase is on. The clock is ticking and the body count is rising. I have a revelation and why I didn’t see that coming, I don’t know. Was I so involved in the moment that I didn’t try to predict the outcome? I do love when an author can keep me in the moment.

This is Lisa Malice’s debut novel. With the amazing job she did, the sky’s the limit and I hope to around for her next fabulous story.

The characters in this book were so well-developed and complex, making it easy to become emotionally invested in their journeys. The protagonist, a strong and determined woman, was incredibly relatable and her resilience in the face of danger was inspiring. The author's attention to detail in describing the settings and atmosphere added another layer of depth to the story, making it feel incredibly vivid and real.

The pacing of the book was perfect, with just the right amount of action and suspense in each chapter. The twists and turns kept me guessing until the very end, and I was constantly surprised by the unexpected revelations and shocking moments. The author's ability to create tension and build suspense was truly masterful, and I found myself unable to put the book down.

One of the things that stood out to me was the author's ability to seamlessly weave together multiple storylines and subplots. Each thread of the story was intricately connected, and as the pieces fell into place, it was watching a complex puzzle come together. The way the author tied everything together in the end was incredibly satisfying and left me in awe of their storytelling skills.

But it wasn't just the suspense and mystery that made this book captivating. The underlying themes and messages woven throughout added depth and substance to the story. It explored themes of trust, betrayal, and the lengths one would go to protect the ones they love. It also delved into the power of resilience and the strength of the human spirit.

Overall, this book was a thrilling and captivating read that kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. The author's ability to create suspense, develop complex characters, and weave together multiple storylines made it a truly unforgettable reading experience. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a gripping and suspenseful read that will keep them guessing until the very end.

Really enjoyed this book. I received an advanced copy from a friend and read while on vacation. I thought the story was very clever: a woman drives her car into a lake and has no recollection of how she got there or who rescued her or why she is in a rehab facility. The story slow burns and provides the requisite twist and turns you need in any new fiction book. I enjoyed the twist as well, it was a clever way to go.

Overall its a fun, beach read and great for the summer. Well done!2 s Kristin Gray50 6

This book started out alright, and then the middle was fine, but then the last 3rd of the book was soo good! I was glad I kept reading, and it got so much better. I just wish the whole book would've matched a bit better.
