This Series Is A MUST Read For All Women

This is not a CHRISTIAN book series, so if you only read books about Jesus, you won't it, but you should read it anyway. It contains valid information all women should have, but don't.

Code Yellow is a wonderful continuation of Nicki McKnight's adventure into the 7 rhelms of the Rainbow Gate, with all the important life lessons every woman wishes she knew when she was 16, but some women never learn at all.

The 7 Rhelms of The Rainbow Gate includes gods, dogs, cats, coos, fairies, dragons, brownies, piskies, unicorns, a sentient house and all sorts of other people.

These books, the series, not just the first book, is a MUST read for all women. It talks a lot about detecting the types of men (ahem... people) to avoid having relationships with, and why, in a palatable, fictitious form. Every chapter starts with a quote from a fictitious self help book, (and are ilustrated within that chapter) most if which are written by the citizens of the 7 rhelms of The Rainbow Gateway. I want to read all of these books, but alas, they are not available unless you can travel to the rhelms, so to get even the smidgen of the wisdom of these books, you have to read the series.

good

Picking up from the cliffhanger in the last book, (which is quickly dealt with) we continue Niki’s very busy week(s) dealing with the arbitrations against Troels, and a lot of issues in Viking, while she is also learning a lot about the new man in her life.
Niki seems to finally be comfortable in her new role, and starts to make it her own.

It’s a hefty book, clocking in at just over 700 pages in my e-reader, but it seems to go by quickly as Niki has a heck of a lot going on. Definitely not a standalone, as I’ve already mentioned it continues from where the previous book left off- so yes, you do need to have read those first.
It’s an enjoyable read though, with coos, arbitrations, dragons, otherworldly politics, shenanigans, too many people demanding time… and even a small holiday for Niki!
It’s an engrossing read, with plenty of action, and some magic. HRH is doing some interesting stuff in this book, and we have some rather intriguing hints about her, plus some very interesting hints about the future. I say hints, because they’re mostly my suspicions right now, but I’m looking forward to seeing where it all heads.
An entertaining series, this is a great read for PWF fans, and urban fantasy lovers a.1 Suzie437 8

Another wonderful story!

Linzi Day is seriously becoming my favorite author. Her books are fantastic and this latest one is so good! Niki is an awesome main character and Dola is amazing and fascinating. The mix of different cultures and beliefs, the drama, and the love story come together so seamlessly that it's almost impossible to put the book down. I highly recommend the whole series and I have already preordered the next one.1 Jane184

It reads well, it is entertainingly written and hard to put down. Satisfying and wish-fulfilling in many ways.
But the weaknesses of the first volumes continue here, and I find them increasingly irritating. FMC is still always 'missing something', and so many conversations are started without being finished. Especially conversations about important things, questions that are urgent. It makes the story confusing and restless because there are always things that need to be answered without people taking the time to do so.
I cannot count the times FMC 'really' changes and starts taking responsibility for things. Every time it seems to be new.
And I find the many mentions of Apple devices a bit advertising and that's annoying. Even the commercial is used!
Every coffee and every pie or good meal is mentioned in detail. So it makes the reader definitely hungry and craving for a good coffee.
I the cat. FMC does not and I see no reason for that.1 LauraLynn Binder17 2

I've really enjoyed this whole series so far, but this book... *chef's kiss* I can truly appreciate when justice is rightfully served and loved that we got a closer look at Rollo and his back story2024 cozy fantasy-fae ...more1 Karen15

I LOVE these books!!

The title says it all really. I love these books so much. They’re funny, insightful, fast paced, and utterly absorbing. This latest book is no exception.1 Kay Barnes94 1 follower

Fantastic series!!

Each book opens up exciting new adventures. I absolutely love the characters. The unique personalities are intriguingly refreshing. Most of them (with a few exceptions) you can't help but love warts and all. I have enjoyed seeing how Niki, Dola, and HRH characters have evolved. The growth of the members of the Recorders staff as well as other key characters into the "person" they are now has been interesting. Actually most of them are still in the process of juggling traditional norms with their discovery of self as they gain understanding. Niki offers new possibilities for growth and change. The growing pains to accept and integrate modern norms into the realms has been and will be interesting. Niki is steadfast in her determination to make much needed changes in the Gateway. Changes that will affect the realms from the rulers to their citizens. I can't wait to see how Niki, Dola, and her faithful crew wade through the stress and strife this will create. There is a time and place to honor tradition but there is a necessity to grow and change as well. Niki has come to this realization through her own growth as she navigated and overcame the hardships and experiences in her life. Life lessons tend to be excellent teachers! Niki faces struggles in implementing changes in procedures in the Gateway as well as those by the Recorder. Her goal is to insure balance is not only obtained but maintained in all the realms. Thus bringing them the opportunity for a peaceful coexistence. I think it will be interesting to see how she goes about getting not only their attention but understanding and acceptance that "the set in stone" antiquated ways are just that antiquated! They can be improved upon. I look forward to one Hello Billy of a ride for them all! Pam1,286

Wow! This series gets better with every book. This is a huge book, close to 800 pages but I read it all within 24 hours! I just couldn't put it down even though I didn't want it to end. Whew! The Author has built an amazing world in this series with phenomenal characters and amazing plots and action. I can't recommend it enough! Just start with the first book and get lost in the world of the Recorder.

Amazon synopsis:
In Gateway terminology, a "Code Yellow" signifies a missing person. King Troels plans to hide in Yggdrasil, the sacred Viking Tree, so the Recorder cannot summon him.

But after the Vikings' treatment of Rollo, forty-one years of suppressed fury is about to burst out of Niki McKnight. Her lava-hot rage and desire for justice on behalf of all the women who filed petitions against the former King, sets our key characters off on a new path.

The resulting power struggles in Viking bring new faces and fresh problems into the Gateway and Dola and Rhiannon have their own issues.

The stakes are heightened further during the inaugural meeting of Breanna's hilariously unconventional royal book club, while Aysha faces an unexpected predicament with Autumn.

In Code Yellow in Gretna Green, Niki discovers what happens when a furious Recorder is pushed too far and heads into Angry Town.paranormal-witches-etc Maria76 3

This series has been strong, intriguing, entertaining and enthralling from the beginning and Code Yellow definitely doesn’t disappoint.

Niki, the main female character, shows so much character development and she is very relatable. After being browbeaten and downtrodden in the past, the role of Recorder sees her find strength, confidence and power, balanced with understanding, compassion and empathy. She opens herself more to her powers and learns to trust herself and her feelings.

We also learn far more about other characters and see them develop too, as Niki and her team work towards righting many wrongs, and supporting those who need recognition, justice and retribution. It’s time for people to stop burying their heads in the sand and for the Viking Realm to change.

I absolutely love the storytelling, the character development, the bonds of loyalty and relationships, built in this series of so much depth and so many layers. It was amazing to have a longer book this time and it’s well worth setting aside some uninterrupted time, to really delve into the story and absorb all that it has to say. Jill91
