I just finished reading Gift for the Boss, this morning. It was really VERY good. I did, however, feel I had "walked into the middle of an ongoing conversation" so-to-speak. So, now I'm curious about all that went on before this novella. I want to know the character's backstories. Your editor did a great job, as well. I only spotted a couple of spelling/grammar errors. I d seeing the philanthropic side of Alex & Jamie. I look forward to reading more by you!

Some things remain the same even at Christmas Steven in fact. I believe his true colors are showing. Being drunk was his so-called excuse with Jamie now just his mask being removed.
And yet, so much more his changed. Although, Jamie still has her insecurities about her weight and measuring up. She is bolder and outgoing in other ways. She is a true powerhouse that sneaks up on you with her gentle ways her kindness is endless, but her bite can be strong if you mess with those she loves.
As far as Alex, wow what a complete transformation there. We get to see how child and almost giddy he is to be spending the holiday with someone he loves. You can feel how lonely he is to experience the many traditions of Christmas.
That Jamie helped him make a place in his heart for his estranged brother after his father died, makes it even more special. Very sexually motivated story short.

This was a fun holiday novella, best to enjoy the previous books first though because if not... it does feel you dropped into the middle of a steamy conversation if you aren't familiar with the back story of millionaire CO Alex Reid and his girlfriend Jamie Connors. This is book 3.5 in the Managing the Boss series which tells the story of their first Christmas together. Jamie is finally feeling super confident in herself and wanted to get her boyfriend something special this year, something that a millionaire couldn't just pick up in a store.

This was a great angst free holiday romp, narration did feel a little too soft/nasally on occasion but overall it was a great performance. Joanna1,926 35

Eigentlich hatte ich nicht vor, in dieser Reihe weiterzulesen. Aber irgendwie hat es sich dann doch ergeben. Es ist lustig, wenn man zuerst neuere Bände liest und sich erst dann über die älteren hermacht.

Auf jeden Fall ist das Grundkonzept hier eigentlich dasselbe wie in "Christmas with the Boss", das ich im November gelesen habe. Aber überraschend kommt das nicht und es stört mich eigentlich auch überhaupt nicht.

I’m reviewing the audio edition. This is a short Christmas story that comes after the third in the series. It’s a cute story pointing out giving, thankfulness and family. Has some really cute things happen and some hot things happen and really points out where the characters are at this point. The narration brought it to life. It was really nice to see the characters happy for a bit before more drama and chaos takes it's toll on the couple. I have really enjoyed getting to know these characters. This was very short, but worth the read before going to the next one in the series. Although technically you could get away without it the bliss they share here is this one makes it worth it! This is a novella that should probably be enjoyed by a reader who has read the processing stories.

Other noted how cute the book was but this was STEAMY. Since I haven’t read the previous books, it seemed it went straight to R rated material which made it jarring and a bit cringy.

Alex and Jamie are at it again. It was okay, just wish that it was added to the end of book three or the beginning of four, but I still bought it. I wish Alex and Jamie's story was all in one collection. I'm going to buy the books anyway. bookaholic110
