Coconut Crunch Murder is another delightful story about Belle Baron and Lucas Graystone and their assorted friends and family in Everly, but this time they all went to a birthday party for Molly St. James at the lake shore.

Unfortunately, Molly is murdered on the night of her birthday and discovered the next morning. Lucas, bring a police detective, takes charge until the local police get there after someone says they were called. But they actually weren’t. And the day drags on as he questions party guests until they all refuse to stay in their room and go to the sunroom and start shouting and suddenly there’s another murder. Lucas calls the local police to report it and discovers the first murder was never reported. The police promise to come quickly.

After the police come and took over the cases, Belle and Lucas and his niece Lexie and their other friend Bixby who ran the Beanery coffee shop went to a resort and enjoyed the rest of the weekend.

Then they went home and Belle went to her house where her Aunt and Uncle that she had grown up with and was not fond of had come to visit. She told them she forgave them for treating her badly, gave them some money to help them during this rough spot in their lives, and then asked them to leave and they did.

Belle, thankful for friends in her life who loved her, decided to stay in Everly, and went to the Beanery to tell Bixby and to Lucas and Lexie’s house to tell them. They were all thrilled. For the exciting details, you’ll need to read this fun book. Renee67 3

Even though this is the final book in the series, I was too busy being happy for Belle to be sad about it ending. Although I can definitely say I’ll miss these characters. Belle’s sure come a long way and learned so much about making friends and being an awesome friend too. I honestly didn’t her much in the first few books, but she grew as a person and became much more human and likable.

The mystery was a compelling one and even though it messed up a vacation Belle had taken her friends on, they all made the best of it. That led to a super sweet conclusion of what’s been a fun journey with Belle and Lucas, and we can’t forget Lexie and Bixby too, of course!

Unexpected relatives, vacation, murder, & a few revelations are some of the things Belle must deal with in this wonderfully written cozy mystery. A lot is going on that she must wade through to get closure on many fronts. I really enjoyed reading this book, I especially d the ending. I can't wait to see what happens next.
