Casi no terminé este libro. Me tuve que forzar para terminarlo.Tiene todo un contenido para ser una buena historia tabú pero a mí me terminó aburriendo.

Y la portada navideña? No tiene nada que ver con este libro.

Después del prólogo todo se fue al tacho. Los personajes no me transmitían nada, las palabras estaban pero no me mostraron sus sentimientos.

No.me gustó cómo se manejó todo, desde el sexo robótico, el tiempo alejados por la falta de comunicación, hasta el tema del bebé fue decepcionante. Lo de "señor Porter" me hacía imaginar a David como un hombre de setenta años. Me hacia encoger por dentro. Por qué ella no lo llamaba por su nombre?

No entendí cómo Chloe y David terminaron juntos o cómo fue que se enamoraron. No sentí que se conocieron en el ahora, o sea cuando ella ya era mayor. No hay desarrollo de esa relación porque se sintió como una aventura de una noche. Se vuelven a ver al siguiente año y ella aparece con un bebé en brazos. Ellos deciden que son el uno para el otro. Todo muy rápido y abrupto.

This time, Mr. Porter looks at Chloe in a different way now that she is older. Her father never beat her again after Mr. Porter threatened him back when she was 12. And she still has a crush on Allie’s dad. So she makes a move on him, taking “courage” from the wine she had at dinner. They finally give in to their desire and she ran away to France, doubting (without verifying) that he could have real feelings for her. Another year passes and Chloe joins Allie, her boyfriend Hans, and David at a cabin they are sharing – and she introduces them to her 3-month-old son Hugo. Will Chloe and David finally stop assuming and talk to each other? Will they discover that they love each other and want a life together? Or is the risk of alienating Allie, her friend and his daughter, too overwhelming for them?

While David worried that she was too young to care about an older man him, despite her having a crush on him for a long time, and Chloe worried he would not want a young woman her, the two never took the time to have a meaningful sharing of how they felt about each other. Both were wrong in their assumptions and made it worse by not communicating. Now they face a potentially devastating decision where someone can be badly hurt if they don’t face the situation and deal with the consequences. Is it finally time to talk to each other?

A Secret Baby for Christmas by Sadie King is part of the multi-author Mistletoe Love series. This story is tied into Temptation: A Curvy Girl Mafia Romance and A Runaway Bride For Christmas, as the two other couples are all related to this couple, Chloe and David. Chloe is the best friend of Allie, who is David's only child. Allie grew up with abusive parents and so she sought refuge with Allie when she lived with David. A year ago Allie and David spent one explosive night together but then she left the next morning as she freaked out, after of the consequences of their actions. Chloe ended up moving to France as her grandmother was sick and she took more than just her clothes with her. David has not been able to get Chloe off his mind during this time and has tried to find her, but to no avail. So when Chloe comes back to spend Christmas with Allie and her new husband, and also David is there, imagine everyone's surprise when their is a little bundle of gurgling joy in a carrier. Things are still complicated but will they be able to find their way back together, which is what they both want, without having Allie hate them both.
So I did enjoy finally getting Chloe and David's story. I also enjoyed the way the characters are woven together and the interplay among all of them. My pet peeve is that throughout the book Chloe keeps calling David, Mr. Porter, even when they are getting hot and steamy. It just seemed weird to me and a bit creepy. But otherwise it was a great story with love, romance, action, danger, emotion and of course a lot of sexy passion. De Anna89 3

A second Christmas surprise.
Fantastic. Chloe has wanted David for years but, there’s a problem: he’s her best friend Allie’s dad. One Christmas Eve she goes to him and they both enjoy some private time together. The next morning she freaks out and leaves before anyone wakes up. David has been miserable for the last year and he can’t tell anybody why. He certainly can’t tell his daughter what happened between him and her best friend. As they’re leaving the cabin Allie opens the door and there is Chloe. With a baby! His baby! Eventually, Chloe and David get a chance to talk alone and she confirms that he has a son. He couldn’t be happier. When Allie and her fiancé head to his sister’s house for the night leaving David and Chloe alone all bets are off. When his daughter arrives back unexpectedly she gets a HUGE surprise with what she sees. David tries to explain but, Allie kicks him out. Chloe takes baby Hugo back to her room because Allie doesn’t want to talk to her. Once again Chloe bolts at first light but, this time she leaves individual letters behind. David arrives back the cabin to set his daughter straight. When Allie hears that he loves Chloe she says she needs time to get used to it but, gives her blessing. David goes to Chloe and Hugo’s room only to find them along with their things gone. The mountain is shut down due to the snowstorm. Will this family get a chance to be reunited?.

He took her inside to dry off since she was in the rain. Allie was at her moms house so that left Chloe and Mr Porter alone. Chloe always d Allies dad. Now was her chance to see how far things could go. Once she showed him what she wanted he let her know he has always d her. After their night togther Chloe left early the next day without a word to anyone and went to life with her mother.A few weeks went by and she found ot she was no carrying his baby. Never telling anyone until she went back home. She showed up on Allies door step with her child. It was then David, no longer Mr Porter realized that chikd was his and he was in love with Chloe and would do everything in his power to do right by both of them. Chloe had to tell her best friend that she loved her dad and that th baby was her fathers child. It happened sooner then later. Allie was out for the night which gave David and Chloe time together. Then Allie came home unexpectedly and caught the two of them red handed. The truth is out now. Allie was not happy but she realized when Chloe was gone her dad was miserable but in the short time Chloe was home he was happy and full of life. She came around and Chloe and David were able to be the couple they always wanted to be. TEhey were not just a couple but a family.

Chloe is Allie’s best friend. They have been friends for quite a while. What Allie doesn’t know is that Chloe has had a crush on her father for years. When Chloe is 18, she seduces David Porter, Allie’s father. It didn’t take much as he was enthralled with Chloe as well. After their night together, Chloe leaves for France. Thinking that she does not want to be with such an older man, David continues to pine for Chloe. Chloe believes that Savid does not want to be with anyone so young so she keeps her distance but desperately misses him.
While in France, Chloe discovers that she is pregnant. She is scared to tell David’s seeing as how his daughter is already grown and fears that he does not want to start over with another family. After a year of being away, Chloe returns. Almost immediately, David realizes that he is the father. After his daughter finds out about them. David states that he will not run away from his duty. Fearing that David only wants her out of a sense of responsibility, she flees once again.
I love how this book played out. These characters were all likable and interesting.
This author’s does a fabulous job of describing each of the characters and their involvement in the story.

Wow. Communication is key. If only people could talk out their feelings there wouldn’t be missed opportunities, take this story for example . Chloe finally gets her mitts on the sexy dad of best friend Allie , David Porter is everything her own father isn’t. He warned her father off when he discovered a welt on her body caused by his belt when the girl was twelve. She idolised him even then fast forward to her being of age and of partaking of wine they hook up. Instead of talking feelings she flees to France the next day thinking he would not want her. When she returns a year later to join Allie , her boyfriend and her dad , David , with a three month old son Hugo to introduce them too. This is the climax , do they or don’t they declare feelings , ask questions give answers , what about her friend , his daughter is it a complete fiasco or could Allie be happy that the two people she loves more than perhaps even Hans are together and making a blended family and claiming a little brother. Read and find out in this beautiful story, that’s well written and immersive.

Caution - potential spoilers ahead**

This story was mostly enjoyable for me and I was excited to get to read about Chloe and David, especially after that ending in Allie's story. However, the fact that if I did my math right from the beginning of the book, then Chloe was at least 20 when they hooked up, and if she'd been drinking at a party earlier in the evening, I'd hope she was at least 21. But she's constantly referring to herself as a teenage mom. Teenagers end after they turn 20. Then there is an ick factor that she's constantly referring to David as Mr. Porter or Allie's Dad. If you wanted to make this a taboo story, then I could see this being okay, but otherwise it just makes the relationship seem wrong and I read it as him taking advantage of her. Even in the prologue and the extended epilogue (5 years after marriage) she's still referring to him as Mr. Porter. Eww! However, if you can put those items out of your head, then it was an enjoyable story with a good deal of steaminess.

This isn’t first Sadie King book, and it definitely will not be my last. Loved this book!

David was an older man secure in his feelings for his daughter and her feelings for him would allow him to seek his happiness with Chloe. She on the other hand was young and flighty not having as a secure loving family background as Allie so she did not have the confidence that everything would work out. A fabulous Christmas story that has a double happily ever after.

Amazing. This is how I would describe this book Sadie has written. Chloe sleeps with her best friend's dad David. What no one expected was that Chloe would leave but it's because she is afraid of rejection from David. I was afraid that Chloe would never tell David that he is the father however he figures it out. I really felt bad for Chloe and the situation, but I was smiling seeing how David accepted everything. This heartfelt book will bring some tears to your eyes, but the ending will make your heart smile with glee.

I thought that this was a really good second chance good. We got a taste of David and Chloe together in A Runaway Bride for Christmas. David and Chloe only had one night together it stuck with them ever since. A year after that one night, Chloe is back with a surprise and now these two have to find a way to be together without losing loved ones and making assumptions. I enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to more from Sadie soon.

After reading Allie and Hans story I was so excited to read her dad and best friends story!
This was a really good short, secret baby, holiday romance. I loved when Hans and Allie walked in on David and Chloe having sex and Allie was trying to find the words, but Hand had no problem! And I was giggling a little bit when David was talking to Axel too.
