Returning to civilian life sounded easy back when Rob Amity was flying jets for the U.S. Air Force. The reality of an empty apartment and the difficulty of finding his place in a civilian world soon have him rethinking his choices. Hoping to find something of the old camaraderie of the squadron flight line, Rob reaches out to his friend Captain Hal Freed, a decorated Vietnam combat veteran. Clear and a Million was just as good as Sierra Hotel. I found it very difficult to set the book down. I am not a fast reader, but this was a pleasure to read. I was turning the pages quickly to get on with the story.

Once thing that made this book special was all the references to real landmarks across Oklahoma and the near west. It brought a lot of fond memories back.

I realize this was the second of a two book series. However, I am eagerly waiting for Kent McInnis' third book. I'm betting it will also be a wonderful read! Ron214 6

Clear and A Million is a thoughtful and varied sequel to Sierra Hotel. Includes a sweetheart car swap, a trip to the Grand Canyon, plenty of hormonal angst and growing up. Topics such as the war in Viet Nam, professional ethics and hard work juxtaposed with personal priorities are tested by the author's characters. A good read. If you haven't read Sierra Hotel, I recommend reading it too. Dianne12

Excellent book! It brought back lots of memories about Oklahoma City in the 1970s. We can't wait to read what happens next...

Kent wrote a book that almost explains how men think. I found it interesting and fun. I think I would if he would expand on the other characters in the book so we see who they are. Alan HollingsworthAuthor 11 books9
