Sinopsis

Aloha! Welcome to the Maui Island Series where the dramas of everyday life keep the Briscoe family and their friends laughing, crying and falling in love.

Silver Island Moon continues the heartwarming-but-juicy saga of the Briscoe family. After the shock of their father's betrayal, Ava and her family are determined to move on and find happiness...even when a cranky neighbor, a boating accident that threatens Aiden's career, and an unexpected (and unwelcome) guest shows up. Despite life's obstacles, one of them may just find true love. Before the story is over, another has his world rocked...you won't believe the surprise ending!

This heart-grabbing series is perfect for fans of Robyn Carr and Susan Wiggs!

Kellie Coates Gilbert once again brings us a heartwarming story about a loving family and how they support each other. Along with the family business of a pineapple plantation in Hawaii, each member has something significant going on in their life. All the characters are likable, even the questionable ones. The descriptions of the locale is amazing, and you feel you’re right there with the characters. Don’t miss this series!

Family is very important!

I loved, again, how the author has such a talent to describe locations, characters, and actions so well the readers "feels" they are on the islands participating in every activity. I can hardly wait for book 3!fiction-clean gilbert-kellie-coates may-challenge-20222 s Pam Fleming740

Book 2 continues the story of Ava and her family. Life moves forward at the Pali Maui plantation. Vivid descriptions allow the reader to imagine scenes in beautiful Hawaii. Ava’s son Aidan, is seriously injured in a rescue operation. He has to move home with Ava to recuperate. Christel meets a handsome doctor and begins to consider moving forward after her divorce. Katie and her husband are forced to move to the plantation after a fire.

Several other family surprises are in store after a mysterious family member returns to the island, and someone from Shane’s past returns.

Family, love, and support continue to be themes in the book. Looking forward to book three and reading more about the Briscoe family. 1 Claudia Reed101 2

This second book in Kellie Coates Gilbert’s Maui Island series continues the story of the Briscoe family, who I just love. Ms Gilbert has added a couple of new characters while we learn more about the ones we met in the first book. The family goes through quite a few twists and turns. I love seeing how they navigate each one. From the first page I felt I had been whisked right back to Maui.
This book and, indeed, the series is well with reading. 1 Jana Beckhusen74 3

The Briscoe family sage continues. As the family is dealing with the death of LIncoln, husband and father, the children begin to pick up the pieces and move on after learning of his betrayal. After a terrible accident of one child, a house fire of another child, they decide to move to Maui Plantation to heal and for new beginnings while another child finds new love.
As they are moving on a family member returns to the island.
Love and family are at the core of this wonderful series. I look forward to the next book in this series.1 Danielle Woods498 9

Members of the Briscoe family stand tall and face new challenges head-on in this second book of the Maui Island Series. Life throws some really big surprises at them that I did not see coming and as a reader I wondered how they would get through it all. However, this book shows us a strong and loving family that supports each other through each crisis.

Kellie Coates Gilbert brings the reader a story that creates a myriad of moods as you turn the pages. It is impossible not to experience both the highs and lows this family must deal with as members deal with the situations in front of them. Her characters come to life on the page and the family dynamics are very real. Also, while this is not a romance, there is a hint that love is in the air.

I plan to continue reading this series and would encourage other readers who enjoy family sagas to pick up a copy for themselves.
